I'm sitting in my living room coughing on smoke seeping in thru the cracks with eyes burning. Never in my days on Planet Earth have I ever felt so low and worried how long it will take for some heavy rain to come and put out the thousands of fires everywhere. Mountain Lions, coyotes and deer have come down from the mountains trying to find respite as well. Last night where we keep a bunch of water buckets for the animals, I spotted a mom Mountain Lion and her baby drinking from a bucket and splashing water on her young. I'm going to repost some beautiful rain pics to try and appease the angry fire gods. Visibility is so low no pic would be worth taking, however, we have to go to Medford Oregon today over the pass and will get some smoke fire shots if I can. Wherever you live, if you have clean air, some rain, and can see the sun, rejoice that you are one of the blessed these days.

So sad to read this. Your last paragraph resounded with me. I will definitely be thankful x

I'm sitting here in a valley full of smoke also. Good thing is that there is supposed to be some fresh air blowing in from the ocean this afternoon and a few sprinkles this evening. Probably won't make a dent on the fires we are surrounded by. One of the fires up North (that was started by some kids with fireworks) even jumped into Washington ACROSS the Columbia river. That is no small stream either. That's a massive jump. Even after all this smoke my coworker passed some people that had started a fire on the bike path here in town. Are you kidding me?!? What? Haven't yet had enough smoke and fire?!?

@jarvisbrown007 What is wrong with us humans..at least some of them. The kids with the smoke bomb got caught red handed..sent in the gorge on purpose. And I think about fire jumping the Klamath..thsts dooable in my mind but the Columbia..crazy. Crate Lake, Klamath Falls and several valleys in S. Oregon all burning..Marble Mountains...all along the Klamath..thing is.

No place to go to get out of smoke.
