« Shall I show her to you? Will you come and see her? The answers to this questions were various and contradictory. Sometimes the broken reply was, ‘Wait! It would kill me if I saw her too soon.’ Sometimes, it was given in a tender rain of tears, and then it was, ‘Take me to her.’ Sometimes, it was staring and bewildered, and then it was, ‘I don’t know her. I don’t understand.’ »

Biblioteca Central (Central Library) inside the main campus of Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). This library including an ensemble of buildings in the Ciudad Universitaria (University City) of UNAM was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2007, as an example of 20th century architecture and urban design.
The mosaics on Biblioteca Central are by Mexican painter and architect (also an UNAM alumni) Juan O'Gorman. They are made up of millions of colored stones from different parts of Mexico! Props if you can see the motto of Spain.
UNAM is the largest university and is consistently ranked as one of the best in Latin America. Notable alumni include Mexican tycoon Carlos Slim, Oscar-winning film director Alfonso Cuarón ("Gravity" starring Sandra Bullock) and architect Ricardo Legoretta. 🇲🇽📖
