Made it into my beloved Death Valley under the quickly descending veil of twilight. Caught a glimpse of the dimly glowing badwater basin as I crested over the Amargosa Range. 12 hours driving today, Boise to Stovepipe Wells via small, desolate highways. Set up camp under an inky sky, alight with vivid stellar pinpoints.
#chownifornia day 6: death valley
- hot creek hot springs (not pictured)
- Carl's Jr. Pit stop
- town pass
- mesquite flat sand dunes

Way less walking today. A lot of time spent inside an air conditioned vehicle. Peaked around 102°f.
Headed to Joshua tree tomorrow thru bad water basin (lowest point in North America)
