Most of us have probably had at least once incident of eating way, WAY too much. 🤢🤮The good news is you can always come back from a nutrition whoopsie. •
You DO want to drink plenty of water, get right back on track, have a stellar workout (extra calories = rocket fuel!), and learn from your mistake so you can do better. Some nonjudgmental reflection can provide insight as to why and how the overeating occurred, and then you can come up with a preventative strategy moving forward. For example, if you cleaned off an entire bag of chips because you waited too long between meals, you could make sure you keep a snack on hand in the future to help tide you over so you can make more nutritious choices. 💛

You DON'T want to beat yourself up about it and then punish yourself with extreme cardio and calorie restriction. This will lead you down a very slippery slope. Overeating followed by over-restriction eventually begets more overeating. It's not fun bouncing from one extreme to the other, and you'll spend your days either immensely bloated and uncomfortable or weak and depleted. 
Practice compassion and gently nudge yourself back in the right direction. Remember, nothing with nutrition is ever unfixable!

Hmmmm? 🤔 when someone asks me what type of cardio or how long they should do, I usually say "it depends" because it really does.

Here are the basic intensities of cardio, regardless of equipment. Keep in mind there is a difference when doing H.I.I.T. on the Elliptical vs. the Treadmill.
•
If your goal is to lose weight any of these will work the same (as long as you are in a calorie deficit) and calories burned are consistent.
•
Here is what I mean, let's say your goal is to burn 300 calories each cardio session 3x a week. You decide to walk (LISS) the first time, it might take you 1 hour. The second time you jog (MISS) takes you 40 minutes. The third time you do intervals (HIIT) Takes you 25 minutes. You still burned the same calories in all 3.

Now most of you are thinking, well it takes me less time to do HIIT, why bother with the other two?🤔

Well consider you have Leg day the next day, a true HIIT session will have an affect of how you perform during your lifts. Might not feel as strong or powerful. That's just the tip of the iceberg! 😕 that's why I say "It Depends"

Food volume/density simply means the amount of food for its given calories. A side note is the #micronutrients for that specific food amount as well.

Let's look at this picture ⬆. I have a salad with the following:
🔹140 grams spinach leaves
🔹45 grams white mushrooms
🔹100 grams roma tomatoes 🔹60 grams bell peppers
🔹115 grams black plum
🔹35 grams reduced fat Feta
🔹4.5 oz Italian chicken breast (Costco)
🔹47 grams Kraft Light Raspberry dressing 
#macros come out to C:38g F:8g P:38g = 365 calories

So this is considered "healthy" compared to a large slice of pepperoni pizza from Pizza Hut C:36g F:20g P:16g = 370 calories •
In reality one won't make you lose or gain weight from the other, if calories/macros are kept in check, but one will keep you fuller longer and give you more food for the calories (the salad if the answer if it is not obvious 😕)

What I'm getting at is you have to look at the whole picture of your diet. Maintain a good balance of ~ 80% nutritious dense foods like above and ~ 20% "Happy foods" or things you enjoy (kept in check of course). •

1). Nutrition- 🍌🍞🥑🍠🦃If you are not fueling yourself correctly it could greatly affect your lifting.
Some things to ask yourself: A] Did you eat or fuel  enough before your workout B] Did you eat enough Carbs (>unless in Keto diet) C] Did you have too much food, or fat before. D] Did you have enough protein before. All these can play a vital role in performance. •
2). Form- 🏋🏽Maybe you are compensating your movements without you realizing and that has an impact on how heavy, how many reps or sets you can do. This usually coincides with ⬇⬆

3). Muscle Tightness- Poor mobility and flexibility can and will hinder your workout . Maybe you been driving or sitting on a plane for hours and decide to get a good workout in. You start lifting without spending more time stretching, and you start realizing "today everything is heavy or hard".
•
4). Hydration- 💧All of us know H2O is valuable, but how can it impact weight training?🤔 Well without getting into detail it regulates temperature,  removes waste, and keeps joints lubricated to name a few. So not drinking enough water can make a huge difference. I suggest at LEAST 42 ounces of water a day.

5) State of Mind- How you feel is a main factor in the gym! If you feel like complete 💩 then take a recovery day or reduce loads. Now, this doesn't mean give yourself excuses 1 or more times a week to slack off. This is if your body is legitimately shot. You can push through, but likelihood of an injury increases 😕

What can cause these issues? 🤔. It can be tight muscles, weak muscles, imbalanced muscles, learned pattern, or even bone structure, or a combo of all these.

A way to find out is seek out a professional in that. (Physical therapist, Chiropractor,  Kinesiologist) to assess your movement and give you corrections to fix the issue and reduce/eliminate pain. Just because someone looks good physically, doesn't mean they know how to address these issues. •
I often see👀 anterior pelvic tilts rampant at gyms, and It's usually to make the 🍑 (booty) look good. However, if you put a load (squats, deadlifts, etc...) under those conditions, sooner or later you will have issues. FYI
