As we start developing acts for next season I love watching training videos of our old ones! This #duotrapeze with @kineticabec from Interplay earlier this year was heaps of fun. Photo by the amazeballs @danzeplin
Throwback to Kinetica's A Midsummer Night's Dream in 2015. I loved the challenge of writing and directing an adaptation of this iconic tale for circus and in true Kinetica style (as well as a throwback to Shakespearean times) our Titania and Oberon were gender swapped and puck was a black nectar spewing fetish slave (interesting fact: the nectar of love-in-idleness was actually black so this was also historically accurate).
Kinetica has a tradition for cast photos - each show we get one taken of the craziest circus face we can make, and we then frame it and put it in the office. This shot is from 2015 #DarkMatter at #fringeworld . We have quite the collection of ridiculous faces, and I have a great view next to my computer of our circus family through the years ❤️🎪 #kineticrew#happybirthdaykinetica
Today's Kinetica memory is from #fringeworld 2014 at a crazy show called Reveal, which included, among other mutant characters, a group of dancing unicorns and me as a slightly deranged spider. #happybirthdaykinetica
Throwback to the opening of 'Dark Matter' for Fringe World 2016 featuring the enigmatic 'multicorde' apparatus 🖤 We are getting excited about our next full length contemporary circus production - watch this space
There are times when a smooth stage is not necessarily an asset - this skill is one of those times 😂 My gal pal @miriam_circus_artist and I are straining those abs to stop from sliding away from @samwilliams27 as he preps for his #stalderpress to handstand.
