Nate has been running his LP for about 4 months now. When he started with us he only weighed about 145 lbs. Yesterday he said he weighed about 175 lbs when he set a PR on his squat, press, and DL. Nate has been very consistent and listened to our coaching.

There is no secret to the way Nate has gotten to this point. We have him squat, press, deadlift, and bench press. We add a little bit of weight each time and the body adapts to the stress applied. He hasn’t done anything functional or specialized, just worked hard.

#Deadlift was pretty rough after all that travel, not eating, and not sleeping. Recovery is important, folks. No PR today, seeing as how warm-up weight was RPE 9.5. Maybe next time!

I finally got my deadlift back to where it was before my latest bought of neurological issues last February. I've had to make a lot of adjustments, such as only doing singles with heavy weights, but I got there! Hooray nerve damage and muscle wasting, take that! #beard #deadlift #385

This was well worth the trip. I'm still processing all the coaching I have received from this training staff and the crew from Starting Strength. Hands down the most informative, hands-on, multiple viewpoint, structured teaching method the basic lifts I have ever been exposed to. I can't wait to return for the Opt in to become a Starting Strength Coach. This is truly a great inspiration for me to become a better coach!
