it took me too long to get to Paris the first time. then timing and budget just never worked out to make the trip. but, the third time really is a charm because everything just fell into place to get me to Giverny.
the weather was perfect. my friend had the day off. biking was a dream. picnicked til we were full. and we explored the gardens.
but all these works of his? in one place. it was just as magical as seeing the waterlilies. I’ll forever remember the cramped corridors and walls full of paintings in his beautiful home. ✨
Today on the blog: Visiting Claude Monet's house and gardens in #Giverny is something I had dreamed about for years and was finally able to do during my recent trip to France. After seeing the way the light danced on the surface of the water, with images of the surrounding flora reflected back, it was easy to understand why Monet painted here.
