So, Sunday was our big day! The moving day! Don’t worry we didn’t go that far. We moved to Mill Valley.
But let’s take a look at what we’ve learned so far on our moving day:

1. Firsts things first - It can last from 9 AM to 3 AM (and yet have some more stuff to pick up) Yes, it can take that long even if you’re moving from San Rafael to Mill Valley. And here is why…

2. …Do not underestimate the quantity of your personal things!
You know that moment, when you think, that you don’t have too much stuff?
Yup, that happened with us to. Turns out, 5 years are enormous amount of time to collect “I NEED IT” things. Well, let’s just say not everything made it…
P.S.: Note to my future self: “You DO NOT NEED IT! All you need are memories! Take some stunning images and move on!”. (Especially important for those, who moved with just ONE suitcase from another country)

3. Pack and unpack smart.
I am that kind of person, who starts unpacking right away… I just simply need to add a touch of coziness to a new place, so I can say: “I feel like home…” + It's the holiday season. So, whoop-de-do and hickory dock. And don't forget to hang up your sock… DONE! (image with sock is attached)
Here is the advice – take a closer look at a new place. Imagine and plan where your things will go. Pack one area at a time and unpack it immediately. Works for me. So, it might work for you.
4. Treat yourself.
Don’t forgot to eat! You’re moving! You need strength!

5. Do not overdo!
When it’s time to stop, just stop. Sit back and relax. Celebrate your big day with a glass of bubbly.

Yes, it was a loooong day and waking up in the morning was difficult, but I did it! And I realized how grateful I am starting this day at our new place! 🌸🍃🌸🍃🌸🍃🌸🍃🌸🍃🌸🍃🌸🍃🌸🍃🌸🍃
