Found at @neals_yard_dairy, Old Ford is a hard goats cheese. Produced solely by Mary Holbrook on her farm in Somerset, Old Ford is thought of as one of the country’s best hard goats cheese. With @thebridgelodge we have looked for a British hard cheese to rival that of the Italians to make our all-British Wild Garlic Leaf Pesto, and this Old Ford is certainly worthy. Having traveled through much of Spain in her earlier life, Mary sort inspiration to make this specific cheese in moulds - this technique allowing her to feel for when the curd starts to harden. Matured between 3-8 months, Old Ford has the salty strength of a Grana Padano and a subtle sourness. #ourisles#nealsyard#nealsyarddairy
I remember having a chat with @notreallyobsessive about how there seems to be a lot of triplets of tower blocks in London. I wonder why. There are quite a few in my area, I have a soft spot for the triplets of the Ranwell West Estate because of their tiled entrances.
