Protecting #Nature - and Your Skin
We strive to coexist with nature. Our manufacturing process is environmentally friendly, to benefit our customers and our planet.
Our skin cream uses honey and beeswax created by Japanese honey bees living in the Okumino region.
Shishi skin cream is COSMOS-certified, meaning it meets the highest standards for natural and organic #cosmetics . Our cream uses 100% naturally derived ingredients. It has a mild citrus fragrance.
Our cream is safe for all ages and for the entire body.
Why We Sought COSMOS Certification
The COSMOS certification was established by five European organizations in 2010.
We took the certification to demonstrate that our product is made from 100% natural materials.
Our cosmetics are the first in the world that use the #products
of Japanese honey bees to receive COSMOS certification.
Because our bees are a maintained wild species, not bred for commercial honey production, their honey output is not large.
Using traditional Japanese methods, we collect honey once a year.
We leave much of the honey behind for the bees so that they will survive the winter. The flavor of the honey is fruity and mild.
Description of Business
Japanese honey, beeswax, and other natural ingredients combine to formulate our nurturing products.
Learning about the appeal of our raw materials could encourage people to grow closer to nature as they appreciate another factor of its beauty.
About our Brand Identity
Inspiration for the name "Shishi" comes from the traditional dance "Shishimai". In eerily beautiful performances, dancers wear a guardian lion costume.
Watching the dance reminded us of the strong value our ancestors placed
on their relationship with nature.
During the Edo Period "Shichijuniko" was created. "Shichijuniko" is the division of the year into 72 parts corresponding with Japanese seasons.
Our brand's pink color represents the vulnerability of flesh and the connection between humans and other living creatures.
