Is it just me or are there anyone who also enjoys devouring a bunch of indulgent pastries and sweets for breakfast?
More sweets from@dabjapan because their creation never disappoints.❤️
Apricot caramel and lemon sugar cronut(yes, best cronut I ever had), chocolate banana monkey Le religeusse and mentaiko focaccia in the shape of an onigiri.
Can't wait for the weekend!
So the cronut: it is an odd mix of a croissant and a donut. Apparently it is very technically difficult to bake as crossaint dough is very easy to burn but donuts need to be deep fried. I think it was in 2015 that I became obsessed with finding and eating the elusive cronut. They sold some crap version in Woolworths but I knew if I wanted to try the real thing I would have to go to New York. Lo, and behold there is actually not 1 but 2 Dominique Ansel bakeries in Tokyo. I went the first time last year but neglected to take a pic. This year I went again, and tried the July Cronut (thry change the flavours every month) which was Hyuganatsu with Lime Sugar flavour. (A hyuganatsu is a type of Japanese citrus). It was delicious, as always, I really like this pastry but it's definitely not one you can eat a lot of since it's very rich. In any case they usually only sell 1 or 2 per customer. #cronut#dominiqueansel#ginza#dominiqueanselginza#hyuganatsu#julycronut#instafood#foodstagram#pastry#delicious#tokyofood#tokyo#東京#デザート#クロナッツ
