#vanlife isn’t forever, but I hope we remember what it feels like to be grateful for all the little pleasures like prime parking spots🚐, watching sunsets on the van couch🌅, warm showers🚿, starry nights 🌟 and endless quality time together💑. #itsthelittlethings
When we moved into the van, we said peace out to a proper flushing toilet and showers whenever we wanted them. Peace out to baking all the goods and big dinner parties in the flat. And we said peace out to regular electricity and being able to fully stand up in the place we call home.
But... We’ve said hello to freedom on the road. Said hello to candlelit dinners and relaxing under the twinkle lights. We’ve said hello to more opportunities than we could have imagined and a life we’ve always wanted to live. We’d say the 👋 outweigh the ✌🏼 a million times over. Saying goodbye to those things has been one of the most rewarding things we’ve done, and we wouldn’t trade it for the world!
I have never really appreciated the desert until recently. Over Christmas we stayed in Joshua tree with some new friends and it gave us a whole new perspective. Normally, pictures don’t do a scenery justice, but @travywild was able to capture the amazing beauty with his crazy photography skills. #joshuatree#desert#sunset#vanfamily
Night in with these two sleepy beasts while Al works 🚌✈️
(Who am I kidding, every night is a night in!) For those of you who have mentioned us being warm enough by the way - you can just see the heater vent on the wall below the bed and above the dogs. We can set the temp and it blows warm air, heating the van up in no time and it’s angled slightly downwards so where the dogs are is toasty warm for them sleeping or when we leave them in the day ☺️
The next VanLife gathering will be sponsored by our new friends at GTs Kombucha! Come hang out with us for a beautiful day at Fiesta Island and grab yourself a drink❤️! We’ll have Alan, the worlds‘ best electrician, there for a Q&A workshop and I’ll bust out the travel X-pole if you want to hop on and play.
Check out the link in @theladiesvan ‘s bio for the Meetup group to RSVP!! See you soon!
Our, usually, white curtains was a shade of soft light pink, when my eyes blinked open this morning. I peaked through the curtain, but couldn't find the sun. I was so sure it would be through that window, that I was looking through, but it wasn't. It was as if somehow the sunrise had surrounded the van though. I turned over, and the sun was rising behind me. The sky was lit up, colorful. I turned over again, to look at Nico, something in me wished his eyes would blink open so he could watch the magic that was happening outside our window. The curtains had a soft yellow color now and Zoey was laying underneath Nico's sleeping bag, in between us, so I gave her a big squeeze. A warm golden light peaked through the curtains, and hit Nicos face.. And I laid there for a minute, holding my breath, realizing that everything I had prayed to get, I had..
This looks like a posed photo that should have a caption something along the lines of “I love having coffee with a different view out my back window every day” ... but in reality, we had the camera out this morning, and @arbourj snapped this right when I was looking at a wipie on the bench saying, “What’s that doing there?!” #vanlifetruths#vantrails#arboursabroad
Back on the road! @celinamin and I custom built our own version of a camper I've been dreaming about for years in just one week, before hitting the road with the dogs across the US. Huge thanks to my brother @antmoth for all the fabrication work. And to my dad for letting us basically live in his shop while building this thing out.
Let’s stay awake ‘til midnight and celebrate the new year, we exclaimed. Yeah right. We barely made 9 PM.
You see, when days overflow with what we love... sun, surf, yoga and time together, we sync with Earth’s circadian rhythm and not even a world celebrating a new circle around the sun can keep our salty, sweaty, contented souls from surrendering into blissful nothingness.
Friends, take a moment now to breathe of the beauty of what you are doing, where you are and with whom you are with. And then take 5.5 minutes to envision anew. What are you building in 2018? What are you bringing to life?

Update! | It's T-minus 38 hours until I fly to Oregon for the next chapter of life's events. #vannathevan will be staying in Florida undergoing repairs and getting a brand new bright and shiny motor. 😍 I'll return to FL in September to load her up and begin her miaden cross-country voyage back up to Oregon. Lots of feels happening rn!
We love how much people love their vans!! Do you name yours? Comment names 👇🏽👇🏽👏🏽
Happy living.. @juliette.orlans

It's so good to have a "second floor". This is the view you get when you climb up for a little chill out 😍.
Such a cool view! You’ll be able to find your perfect van products and our recommendations on @thevanlifeapp! We’re so excited to share! Happy Sunday, peeps :)
Lately we have doubted ourselves as dog parents. Zoey has been acting different than she usually does towards other dogs, she been reactive towards them. It has made us doubt if we were raising her right. It has been especially hard for Nat, as she studies dog behavior. But today we took Zoey to a doggy day care, to see if she could still be with other dogs. There were no problems, and it has made us feel much better. I am so proud of my girl, but also Nat, because she believed in Zoey, and studied for a long time, and saw that the best solution would be socializing Zoey more.
It is always hard when you doubt yourself, and it is even more hard when you see it in your wife. I hope this proves to her, that she is doing a great job, and she has raised an amazing little, and crazy, girl ❤️
