Day 88: The Bet.
In 1977 Steven Spielberg and George Lucas each had major films being released ("Close Encounters of the Third Kind" and "Star Wars" respectively). While arguing over which film would do better at the box office they made a bet where they would share 2.5% of the profits in each other's films. Close Encounters did a respectable $303 million, but Star Wars made $775 million in the first year alone. It's estimated Spielberg has made over $40 million from that bet so far and the money keeps rolling in. #StarWars#100daysofStarWars
Day 9: Exar Kun!
A former Jedi, he fell to the Dark Side after coming across Forbidden Sith teachings.
He became one of the greatest Dark Lords of the Sith.
He led an assault on Ossus, one of the Jedi strongholds at the time and activated a Sith holocron that turned the Padawan learners against their masters while at the same time giving him new disciples.
He and his apprentice also went to Coruscant and murdered the Supreme Chancellor of the time putting the Republic in Chaos.
He's famous for making one of the first double-bladed lightsabers!
Long-story short; his apprentice turns on him forcing Exar Kun to release and seal his spirit on Yavin IV.
Flash forward millennium later, just decades after Star Wars VI, Jedi Master Luke Skywalker makes the Jedi Praxeum over the site that Exar Kun sealed his soul into. And through the combined efforts of the New Jedi Order; they finally defeat and put Exar's Soul to rest.
It's interesting stuff that Disney turned into fanfiction.
Day 8: The Sith (Race)
My favorite race of the Star Wars galaxy, by far.
Their defining features:
Red Skin, Bone-like protrusions and face tentacles (not Davy Jones like). They are extremely strong with the Dark Side of the Force.
A race of Conquerors, they battled with the Galactic republic since the Republic's inception and in turn, the Jedi Order for as long as either side existed.
Originally, the Sith were a pure blooded race of evil force users, but when Dark Jedi came to their home of Korriban, they mingled blood and genes and ended up dying out because of mixing blood with others (i.e. the Human Dark Jedi's descendants)
Sadly, there aren't many known Sith Purebloods and if any did exist, they no longer exist because Disney destroyed the Expanded Universe that was canon for so many years.
Day 5: The Sith Code.
Peace is a lie; there is only Passion
Through Passion, I gain Strength
Through Strength, I gain Power
Through Power, I gain Victory
Through Victory, My chains will be broken
The Force Shall free me.
Peace is a lie. For when one wants peace, you should prepare for war. If war is a necessity, then how can peace be truly achieved; Peace is a lie.
Passion is what drives the want for peace. Passion keeps the idea alive and willing. There is only passion.
Strength born from passion is the strongest of strengths, for one man with the conviction to be free can defeat an army of thousands.
Power through strength is a simple feat, for the weak cower beneath the strong and the strong admire the strong.
With power, victory is always achieved. Power controls, melds and bends others to the will of it's wielder.
When all falls to the source, the one with passion, strength and power; Victory is attained.
When ones enemies are slain, the Dark Side will become one with Passion and the Force will be one.
Philosophical much? At least that's how I translated it lol
