Had a good friend and a great supporter stop by today, Cary Farnsworth of C. K Farnsworth Soda Fountain. He Grabbed some nice 1930s vintage for the coming fall season. Make sure to make it out someday.
Somers Garden is open to the public every day from sunrise to sunset. Named after Admiral Sir George Somers, considered to be the founder of Bermuda. In the garden is a humble tomb said to contain his heart. This commemorative stone column was installed in 1920 with the Prince of Wales officially opening the park.
Birds were singing during the entire time I spent there, and occasionally a charming horse and carriage would trot past. The garden is bordered by Duke of Kent Street, Duke of York Street, Shinbone Alley and Blockade Alley.
