I'm the world's worst bookstagrammer, you guys!🙄 So just pretend this lovely YA contemporary is propped alongside beautiful pink blooms that match the cover, and the light is shining down just perfectly. Ignore the fact that it's laying on top of a plant in my backyard. Now that you have that awesome picture in your head, you should know that this book is SO SWEET and FUN and you 100% want to add it to your TBR. It won me over in the very first pages with it's witty banter, and it never let go😍 (I do get points for crushing my plant in an attempt at the perfect bookstagram, right?😂)
Look who has bookmarks! (I’m talking about me.) The next step is to give some away. Right? Right. ❡ Here’s the plan: Thursday evening, I’ll tweet a request for page numbers. I’ll respond to each tweet with a snippet from that page of GRAY WOLF ISLAND. Fun and merriment will ensue. ❡ At the end, I’ll randomly pick a handful of people to win signed swag. Check out my Thursday newsletter for more details! (Not sure how to find my newsletter? The sign-up is in my bio right now.)
Also: Helloooo, first page of GRAY WOLF ISLAND. 😏
I just finished reading the ARC of The Unlikely Story of a Pig in the City by @jodi_kendall, and it was fantastic! It's such a fun and heartwarming story. Whether you're an animal lover or not, you'll fall in love with Hamlet the pig, plus Josie and her whole family. It'll hit bookstores in October, so middle grade fans: add it to your TBR lists, or better yet - preorder it!
It was extra special to read this ARC because Jodi and I have been writing friends for years, and more recently, critique partners. I've loved seeing her hit exciting milestones like signing with her agent, getting a book deal, revealing her cover, and seeing her ARCs. It's so inspiring and I'm very proud!
Congratulations, @jodi_kendall! I can't wait to see the finished copy this fall, and help you celebrate your debut!
