After a pretty lazy weekend, we managed to clean house, so I've got a clear mind to tackle Monday. AND after an early morning workout I am pumped to make this the best 3-day week there can be.
I told my ladies in my online fit group yesterday that I am showing up this week... showing up and bringing the JOY! That 30 minutes of moving my body and sweat? Feeling strong in your physical body instantly prepares your mind for strength too, so I am ready to stay true to my promise.

MORNING COMMUNION ::: Every morning I spend at least 30 minutes at the feet of the divine (myself/ourselves). Non-negotiable. Even if I'm sick (like today). Sometimes it's silent meditation, writing, or movement or any combination. Today its song. This one in particular has supported me through the most darkness I've ever faced within. So grounding. Today was one of those day that when I went to the gym I knew I wanted to run 5 miles. I set a goal to run 50 miles this month and I am down so far so I needed to get 5 in today to “feel better” at where I was at for the month. Plus I knew I was going out today for Robs Works adult Christmas party which means drinks and food. So I wanted to get in a good calorie burn. The first mile was good no problem then mile two was just hard. But I was determined plus I can always get a 5k no matter what! But then everything after 3 was just so hard! And then I got 4.5 and I didn’t know what was happening 😳 my blood sugar must have been low or something because I honestly thought I was going to pass out. So I decided maybe just walking the last .50 would be best because I refused to get off that treadmill before 5 miles! Today I almost quit. It was 8:50pm I just got the last of my kids to bed and was already in pajamas ready to go to sleep after a very long day. I texted @dave_mari and told him that I was going to fail the #ffholidaychallenge and he told me to get my iPad and go get in a 30 min walk on the tread... so I did, in pajamas, with running shoes and no socks. Giving myself this 30 mins a day to only focus on me the last 4 months has been life changing. Are there days where I dread it or days when I just don’t fit it in of coarse. But I find when I do take that time for me the rest of the day my mind is clearer, my time spent with my loved ones are more meaningful, and I just physically and mentally feel better. This time of year can be so hectic with all of the things that have to get done, but if you just take out a little bit of that time and do something just for you it will make all the chaos around you not seem so chaotic. I am pretty simple when it comes to my lunches. I will make the same thing for at least 2 weeks in a row. I don’t usually get sick of my lunches very quick like I know some people do. Pinterest has been my best friend to finding healthy 21 day fix approved meals. .......

I have to say there is nothing quite like a support group of amazing people to help me along with my health journey.
The consistent day in and day out of showing up is what truly pays off but hey may it so much easier. We hold each other accountable and cheer each other on. This is what it’s all about. I have completed more then what’s shown here but this is just a glimpse of what can be achieved in one of the challenge groups! 🙌🏼🙌🏼 When I signed up to be a coach I new I would have some great influences and friends but I didn’t know I would be brought into a large family of support. #30MinsADay find 30 mins out your day to get a nice high paced workout in (AT LEAST 3-4 DAYS a WEEK ).. not on my football workout regimen yet but a simple 30 mins out my time 2 get some much needed fitness in ..walk in the gym , find that fye ass playlist 🎶 set ur timer and go hard , and 5 mins of a good paced cardio ..
