“So, I’m in the elevator going up to the office. I’m the only one in the elevator standing up at the back of the elevator, and about five teenagers get on the elevator. And the last guy to get on the elevator looks around and sees me and say ‘I’m afraid of clowns’ and I said ‘well, I’m afraid of teenagers’. So, they burst out laughing. It’s a way of getting through to teens, you know, to join in with them. But they become my best allies in the long run, they’re very supportive. When I go into a clinic and there’s a lot of teenagers working on their Gameboys or whatever, I look at med students and say, ‘do not look at the teens, they’re a little nervous they don’t want to be seen with a clown – so, don’t talk to them’. They can hear me and you can see them starting to chuckle quietly. Immediately the interaction starts. My best conversations are with the 4 years old, because I’m 4. I don’t ask kids their age because you don’t want to ask kids how old they are. So, I ask what grade you’re in and I give them my quiz or word of the day. I have ‘words’ of the day. Today’s word says ‘URAQT’. It spells ‘you are a cutie’ – that’s the only way I get my compliment around here. Kids are great. The hardest part is when I see the parents crying in the background. That’s hard. So, you don’t look at the parents ‘cause the kids don’t know how serious things are. So, I tell the kids to not look at the parents. I’ve been a clown since 2001. I’m a retire nurse. There’s not very many who are afraid of me. I stay away from any kids that seem afraid, and within 10 minutes they’re standing next to me.”
This was taken with my 35mm Sigma Art. I rarely shoot with it, so it pushes me out of my comfort zone. However, last night, as my boys were swinging in our yard, I noticed the light. I ran in and grabbed my 35mm. I may just start using it a little more ❤️
I have been on a boost my immune system kind of kick these past few weeks. I felt a tickling in my throat two weeks ago and though "oh hell no. I don't have time for this" so I started pulling out all the stops and that always leads me to sage. It is important to point out that we get loads of nutrients from our foods, but the herbs and spices we use add more to our meals than most flavour, and safe is no exception. Sage not only has natural antiseptic and antibacterial properties but it also high in vitamin A, C, B6, Magnesium and Calcium. So not only are these tiny green leafs helping me to stay healthy, but they are supporting bone health and sustainable daily energy levels! I always find it so fascinating how such tiny plants 🌱 can provide so much health and healing in addition to flavour! Now for a tasty seasonal recipe! ---------
Sage Cranberry Hummus
1 can chickpeas, rinsed
4-5 fresh sage leaves
1/4 dried unsweetened cranberries ---------
Place all ingredients into a food processor and pulse until smooth. You may need to add 1-3 tbsp of olive oil to achieve your desired creamy texture.

It's important to have the base mobility and stability before adding load! #Repost @optimize.physiotherapy (@get_repost)
Posititions and patterns must always come before loading❗️
🔑 The squat is another prime example of a movement that is often loaded prematurely before the position and pattern is mastered
🔑 If you load a dysfunctional pattern or one that you have not established stability in, the load will further ingrain the dysfunction and you will likely use compensatory patterns to move the load as it gets challenging
🔑 before you load the squat:
▪️ Develop stability in the bottom position, wherever that currently is for you and your level of mobility/stability
▪️ Smoothly transition in and out of this position in a squat pattern, getting comfortable with the movement
🔑 Once you get good a bodyweight variation and address mobility/stability restrictions that may be preventing you from performing it, then you can start loading it
🔹 The barbell back squat is just one example of loading, and there are better ways to initially start loading the squat...however the barbell back squat is probably the most common version you will see in a gym setting where people often need to work on the fundamentals before being here

How to get white nails:
Make a thick paste out of baking soda and lemon and massage it on the nails for about 2 minutes. Don't forget to do it for the inside part of the nails too.
Wash your hands and scrub the nails with a brush used for cleaning nails.
File away the surface of the nail with a fine grit file. **Please avoid doing this as much as possible since it weekens the nails. Only do this if there are stains.** Tip:
Apply nail oil to moisturize the nails. Try to this everyday since it improves the strength of the nails. I have done this myself and seen results.
I was eating biotin pills but I found it was breaking me out so i had to stop.
Don't BITE your nails!!! Try to not use them as tools!! And always have a file with you just in case you have a hangnail! *************************************
Most importantly not everyone can grow their nails really long! You must judge your life style. You must also see the cause of your week nails and try to improve them first. It's better to apply oil and keep them short until you see an important in the strength of your nails. It's better to grow them out then since they won't break as fast and be healthy :) Thanks to @simplynotlogical
for inspiration 😊
