I’m slowly but surely getting better at pull ups even when I’m struggling mid workout. I managed to complete pull ups all the way through this week but.... the last 2 sets I only managed 3. SLOW PROGRESS IS BETTER THAN NO PROGRESS

Week 2 of #531 sets of 3 followed by #amrap at 90% (295) glute has been killing me on squats lately I’ve been having a lot of hip wobble on the eccentric part of the movement but I can deadlift fine though it’s weird. But no pain no gain still did the best I could for the day. Here is my attempt at being motivational, everyone has bad days probably me more often than good days but consistency is the name of the game. Como siempre: Ensayo Vs Error. Nadie tiene la certeza total de si funcionan las cosas hasta que se prueban. La semana pasada habiendo terminado la rutina Wendler he podido confirmar (n=1) que funciona. Quiero creer que este reto de 4 semanas trabajando las repes con la rutina Smolov JR (que llevaba más de un año planificando cuando hacerla) funciona también. Saldré de dudas la segunda semana de enero cuando toca medir las repes máximas.

Being at the bottom and in the darkest place of my life, and just wanting nothing more than to give up on life…. I was there… I hated shopping , I hated my self , Pretty much hated everything… ⠀

When you realize that it is actually simple and all about putting one foot in front of the other and to just keep going, no need to beat your head off a wall for a year or doing the typical thing of “ stopping and starting “ multiple times and thinking it is too hard.⠀

I’ve beaten my head of the wall for you, for a year and figured out a simple path to getting the results.. everyone is different , BUT biology will work with you when you count macros.. it is calories in , calories out. ⠀
⠀
Simply put… count your macros. which is Protein / Carbs / Fats , figure out what your body burns at a sedentary state and then add in excersize to burn more and then stay in a deficit of that number.. ⠀
⠀
example : I naturally burn 1300 day to day sitting on my ass , Then I add in excersize to make sure I burn 2000 per day and I then eat at 1700 calories to be able to do the excersize I do 6 days a week, ⠀

Burn - 2000⠀
Eat 1700⠀
=300 calories deficit.. if you do this 6-7 days a week you will lose 0.5-1lb per week…. so about 4-6 lbs per month! ⠀

* People don’t understand food⠀ ⠀ Being at the bottom and in the darkest place of my life, and just wanting nothing more than to give up on life…. 🚨 HOW TO PROPERLY USE YOUR GLUTES DURING SQUATS! 🚨

A big misconception in the weightlifting community is to squeeze your glutes as hard as you can during squats. This usually results in the lifter pushing their hips forward and causing unwanted back pain.

Understand that the glutes have more than one action - they are responsible for extension, internal/ external rotation along with stabilizing the knee joint. Clenching your glutes during a squat will only target one portion of the gluteal muscles and will not help increase overall stability.

Improper Usage of Glutes:
💥 Feet are flat with arches dropped
💣 Knees caving in and heavily relying on the quadriceps to stand up
🔥 Pushing the hips forward at the top of a squat and clenching the glutes

Proper Usage of Glutes
1️⃣ Imagine standing on top of a pinched towel and spreading the towel with your hips and feet
2️⃣ Corkscrew (outwards) the feet into the towel with only the hips without moving the feet
3️⃣ Avoid pushing the hips forward at the top of a squat

Using a pinched towel and practicing these cues will help activate all the different fibers of the glutes for a more stable and efficient squat. Avoid pushing the hips forward and forcefully contracting the glutes to finish your squat as this can lead to a lack of lower back and pelvis stability!
