Unless you’ve competed you will never understand how good training is post competition!
Stress, anxiety, pressure and fatigue are all down while food, energy, mood, strength, intensity and so on are all UP!!
During an extended (and really drastic) dieting phase you’re training systematically and periodically drops off. If you’re doing every correctly this drop should be relatively small and occur slowly; making it hard to detect entirely. That’s where the post-show ‘rebound’ comes in:
This is a period when you really notice how ‘bad’ training was towards the end of prep because you can compare it to how ‘good’ it is now! 😍
Such a great time to INTELLIGENTLY increase food incrementally and as a result have strength and muscle mass follow.
So if you’re just eating everything in sight with no structure and you’re just lifting weights essentially aimlessly with no real plan and no tangible record of progress; WELL DONE! You’re successfully wasting the most anabolic and beneficial period of the year in terms of building muscle +\ restoring hormonal profiles 👏🏻

Had a crap load of macros left over yesterday as I had planned my day around going out to eat with a buddy. However, plans were cancelled and I was left with a butt load. This little dessert came after I had already eaten some chicken, jasmine rice, and mixed vegetables. #Balance Plus, ice cream.... 🍦🙈👍🏼

Now some nutrition advice... Q: People say this food is good, that food is bad. How do we know what’s good and what’s not?
A: No food is bad. It totally depends on your macronutrient composition. Example - If you eat too much fruits, you might spill over liver glycogen.
In short, you can have everything in moderation if you don’t know how it works.
And one more thing I eat a small pizza everyday since turning vegetarian, if you are wondering if I eat those foods. 🍕
Hey guys 👋🏻 so I’m back from my weekend away with the fam and ready to get back into my workouts and meal plan 🔥 There was a lot of treats and stuff I wouldn’t usually have consumed over the weekend. I had fun but I’m glad to be home and back on plan 🙈 I feel really gross and unwell when I eat too much chocolate and not enough goodness! The weather in Clare was wild because Ireland had another storm Friday night and the wind was crazyyy 🌪I’ve made a menu for the week, excluding dairy from my diet to get my tummy back in working order. I’ve re downloaded MFP today just because I’ve not been getting where I want to go as fast as I’d like and I need to keep a better eye on my nutrition 👀 I’m ready to restart week 7 and kick some butt 💪🏻 I hope you all have a great Monday and kill those workouts 💞
Oh Monday. We meet again. This cold isn't going anywhere... whomp, whomp.🖓 So, I did a core Pilates/Yoga combo. Let me tell you... that was completely out of my comfort zone. My coordination was way off. But I kept going and that's all that matters.🖒 What is in my comfort zone? Plyo, kickboxing, basically anything that leaves me destroyed at the end.😂 Thankfully my online gym has every type of workout you can think of. Cheaper than a gym membership. No lines for sweaty, nasty machines. Roll out of bed and there you are! Oh... and you totally get results if you stick to it!😉 #lifelibertyandthepursuitofhealthiness
I feel absolutely incredible 💜 I can't say it enough. I love the body that I'm in. I love all it is capable of. I've worked hard to be where I am, both mentally and physically, and I am so proud.
The first few days of eating super, super clean were tough. Especially since I had just bought my favorite flavor of Ben and Jerry's. But after those first few days, it got easier. I started feeling better than I've ever felt before. I've had no bloat, more energy, better skin, and a better attitude! I can happily say that the Ben and Jerry's is still in the freezer, unopened 👏👏
Just 10 days until we fly to Arizona 💕💍🎉
