Our all star athletes had a fabulous weekend in Charlotte!! All SAS teams finished in the top 3 at their first big Nationals of the season!! The Andes did great and hit zero on day 2! They walked away with 3rd place!
Aspen had an awesome day 2 performance as well and also walked away with 3rd place!
Cascades hit zero day one and had their best performance to date!! They came out in 2nd place!
Evere5t also hit zero, performed beautifully and finished in 2nd!! LADY ROCKIES!! These ladies walked away at NATIONAL CHAMPIONS and have the jackets to prove it!! Their day 1 routine was amazing and deduction free!! We are so happy for all of you!! Overall it was a great weekend full of awesome sportsmanship, lots of laughter and a few tears (both happy and sad)! Our SAS athletes left it all on the floor and made their parents, coaches and teammates so proud!! #summitallstars#SummitSportsCenter#andes#LadyRockies#Aspen#Cascades#evere5t
Everybody’s got that one song that makes them happy in the morning 🙏🏻❄️
As for me, it is Chilean Reggae 💙 thinking about the mountains and the whole magic that’s surrounding it.
Oh,oh,oh, fluye ahora y nada mas
Oh, oh, oh, tu sabes quien te acompaña
Throwback to that time in Colombia when I snuck onto my friend's university campus up in the Andes. I awkwardly sat through all of his business classes (very obvious in classes of like ten people 😅). Here I am lounging on a break, trying some candy. Scroll to see the view from there ⛰🎉 #montañas#colombia#mountains#andes
Populations of the Colombian National tree (Ceroxylon quindiuense) are threatened by habitat disturbance, overharvesting and disease. The fruit was used as feed for cattle and pigs. The leaves were extensively used in the Catholic celebrations of Palm Sunday; such leaves taken from young trees caused the tree to die. Such activity has been reduced in recent years due to law enforcement and widespread conservation campaigns. However, felling of Ceroxylon quindiuense palms to obtain wax from the trunk does still go on. Since the implementation of Law 61 of 1985, it is a legally a protected species in Colombia.
