Hello my beautiful friends.
My name is Mariah Roelfs, 24 and I live in downtown Portland, Oregon in a 300 sq foot micro apartment with a dog and a cat. I'm a full time artist. I found my success in 2014 when I started Micro Collages. I since removed Micro Collages off of most social media, though continue to own it, run it, and I am excited to watch it continue to grow after I decided to take a break at over 10 thousand followers. While I was at the peak of Micro Collages I was told that my Glaucoma treatments were no longer working and I had to have surgery that would leave me without work for over a year.
The Portland community, local media, friends and family took Micro Collages further than I could have ever thought.
It was an incredible experience and a time my life that I will never forget.
2015 was the best year of my life.
These days I own five websites and have been a full time artist for 13 months. I'm also in the works of buying my first house!
Wildlife wonders is my next project and child. I'm incredibly grateful for the amount of value people see in this project so far when it is only a few months old. As I work daily to promote it, plan it and learn more about how to run a successful business I am left in aw as I feel I was given a second chance to find where I belong and what I want to do in my life. After the success of Micro Collages, I can only hope that Wildlife Wonders would come close to what it brought me.
Micro Collages was a beautiful time in my life, and I am grateful for what Wildlife wonders has brought so far to the world.
Thank you friends for all that you have done for me, and continue to do.

3/💯 KILL BILL 🖤💛🖤
So something I have been struggling with lately is the question 'what kind of art do you do?' My usual wanky response is 'oh it's an urban abstracty graffiti kind of style' which isn't wrong but it's so not right either. The purpose behind Marshall Art 💯is TO PRACTICE & EXPAND MY CREATIVE VOCAB so that I will finally be able to answer that question with a straight up no bullshit statement. So let's see where we end up...

Here is 'Summer Solstice' - the big piece I finished just before my travels. I wish pictures would do her justice - I've spent ages photographing and editing and I'm still not 100% satisfied 🙈. But on another note - I'm loving the raw, grungy feel to the marks in this piece 🦄💜
