This Sunday morning has us dreaming about summer and fall on the farm. Our application reading committee is hard at work selecting our 2018 resident cohort. We cant wait for what and who is to come! 📷: @maddiemeigs .
Today’s exciting (and incredibly joyful) post is courtesy of @jumpforjoyphotoproject. ・・・
Eyoälha Baker (@eyoalha), the inaugural artist-in-residence at the Palm Springs Cultural Center (@psculturalcenter) in Palm Springs, California, attempted a mega group-jump photograph with all the attendees at today’s ceremony celebrating the tenth anniversary of the Cultural Center, the donation of the Camelot Theatres by Ric and Rozene Supple to the Cultural Centre, and the official announcement of Eyoälha’s artist residency involving her @jumpforjoyphotoproject. She will be in the Coachella Valley until April 15, 2018, to take jumping photos all over the Valley with as diverse a cross section of the community as possible. We encourage anyone in or near Palm Springs to email Jumpforjoy@psculturalcenter.org to participate in this joyously uplifting public-art project. #shareyourjoy#jumpforjoyphotoproject
The North Project Exhibition's installation by @edudana, mexican architect who was a resident artist at @live_north AIR program; focuses mainly on the constraints and possibilities of material processes, their spatial potential and their implications on the user or perceiver.

It gives us such immense happiness and a feeling of satisfaction which cannot be easily put down in words; after each time we conduct hands-on "learning by making" workshops / regional study programs / experiencial art/design residencies for students and creative professionals.
This one on "Indigenous building practice system in Himachal Pradesh - Kathkuni" which is earthquake resistant construction technique using natural materials, resources and craftsmanship; measured and documented vernacular houses, temples and village settlements through narratives of locals and craftspeople.
Thanks to all the universities, their faculties and wonderful students who showcase amazing interests and enthusiasm to learn the basics of our indigenous empirical knowledge system. This is a huge support towards @live_north vision and mission.
Get in touch if you want to collaborate for a workshop on local craftsmanship of himalayan region, the indigenous construction system and craftsmanship.
A Room of One’s Own, Day the Third. The snow has melted off the trees for now. Sad not to be able to attend the march today, but writing a women’s lib-era song for a project is as close as I can get! #yaddo#artistresidency#composer#hoorayfortrees
Yesterday’s rehearsal-me focusing on not dying of a cold. Ana, AnJu and Alicia being great. Marisol also being great🌞✨✨✨✨ Big thanks to @barnartscollective and @thecloudcity for having us! Barn Arts Collective is a non-profit artist residency up in Maine. If you have a project and need work space, and like kayaking and hand-crafted goods made by local artists, applications are open! #Artistresidency#lastnight#performingartists#soledadensemble#thesevenravensproject
WOW!!! Applications are finally opened and I can’t stop watching this picture✨from @_marinadenisova_ .
Wednesday to fulfill my 2018 ny resolution and feel really uncomfortable I’m going to do a Facebook live and explain in details: For who is @_numeroventi_ program, why we do what we do, how did we get there and the most important, what is our idea of creative retreat! Good night and ❤️
“I always wanted to return to japan but kept postponing for some occasion or opportunity! FUSION came along in perfect way and I jump on it without hesitation. I like an idea of going with the group of artist and the fact that residence took place in Onsen! Also fact that in the group there where people in my age when I went there in 1992 and even younger! I wanted to compare their experience with mine and perhaps see Japan through their eyes.” ✨ @yanuszg #fusionartworld discovery from @hatori_kagaspa .
