While staying at Ayurveda hotel, I enjoyed  Ayurvedic style buffet everyday which was very healthy and mainly vegetable curry using many spices. A doctor tells me my Ayurvedic body type during the consultation. So I had to eat the positive food for my body type. Ayurvedic medicine was also prescribed in the medicine box everyday. Quite interesting!!

アーユルヴェーダ食は本当にヘルシー!野菜を使ったカレーがメインで何種ものスパイスを使ってて、めっちゃ美味しい!♡ ドクターの問診を受けて自分に合ったお薬(私の場合はアレルギー抑えるハーブシロップだったり、肩こり腰痛持ちなので筋肉疲労に効く薬だったり)を毎日処方してもらい、アーユルヴェーダ式での自分の体質(ドーシャ)に合った食事をビュッフェの中から自分で選んでとります。アーユルヴェーダはインドスリランカでは伝統医学として昔からあって、今ではWHOからも予防医学として認められてるので、ホテル自体はリゾートだけどなんだか病院みたい!

I might not be gifted with a perfect health nor a strong constitution, but I'm certainly gifted with many great teachers, healers, therapists as my support system.

Although, I now realised that all of these great resource and support still wouldn't be beneficial to me if I don't LET them to help me.

Imagine you've been carrying a big heavy backpack, and next to you is a strong muscly guy who's willing to help you out. Yet... You don't fully want his help nor want to ask him that you need help.
•
Common reasons that I found why many of us don't ask for help are:
👉 We don't want to bother others;
👉 We feel uncomfortable to receive assistance;
👉 There's a believe pattern within us that to receive help means we're weak or not independent;
👉 Or... Simple because we're not able to open ourselves and fully TRUST them.

TRUST, I found is the crucial element in regards to every healing progress. The one word that's easy to say, but sooo hard to put into practice 😂.

Which is why placebo effect has been proven to give strong healing effect, because our mind is at ease to TRUST the treatment process that's prescribed to us.

Like in this flying/acro therapeutics that my dear friend @sebastian_thaivedic gave to me, if there's no trust involved from my end, it wouldn't be a healing session at all.

Because when the receiver feel resistant or doubtful to trust, the giver wouldn't be able to give his all.

Now, whenever I feel doubtful or unable to trust something even though logically I know that's good for me, Kimmana taught me this mantra: "What would it feel like to trust and surrender with life?"

Medicinal Uses
Celery Seed / Bishop’s weed or ajwain are aromatic seeds that find numerous medicinal usages except the culinary uses which are as follows.
Respiratory diseases (श्वास): Powder of bishop’s weed given with hot water is very useful.
Indigestion (अजीर्ण): It is also very useful in indigestion. Bishop’s weed and sendha lawan (rock salt) is used to treat indigestion.
Pain abdomen and flatulence: It also finds its use in painful abdomen and flatulence. Local application and hot fomentation is useful in flatulence. In case of children, bishop’s weed arka - (Ajwayan arka available in market) is used but in case of adults 0.5 gram to 1 gram of following mixture is used. (Yavani + sendha lawan (rock salt) + yavakshar + hingu + amla )
Worms: Use of bishop’s weed is useful especially in hookworms.
Swellings: In swellings local application of paste or oil is very useful.
Bite: Local application of paste helps reduce irritation due to scorpion sting bite.
Gulm: Buttermilk + yavani powder + vid salt acts as carminative and an appetiser.
Urticaria: One who takes yavani + jaggery keeping on wholesome diet becomes free from urticarial in a week.
Teeth diseases: In diseases of teeth yavani vacha (acorus calamus) should be chewed at night.
Common cold: Inhalation of boiled seeds is effective in common cold.
Precautions
Bishop’s weed should be consumed raw and its decoction should not be prepared as it contains volatile oils which will be destroyed during the process. It is contraindicated or used with precaution during pregnancy as it can induce uterine contraction.
Dose
Parts used: Seeds / Fruit
Dose: Powder: 3-6 gram, Oil: 1-3 drops (maximum 30 drops), Arka: 20-50 ml, Satva-30-120 mg
Note: When oil is prepared after cooling the above said ingredients; thymol is settled down and changes its form semi-solid form which is known as yavani satva or sat ajwayan and rest is thymine.

Indian women are famous for their beautiful, long, and voluminous hair. What is the secret?? The traditional Indian health care is based on ayurvedic principles.
Since the advent of ayurveda, the very efficient vaidyas or ayurvedic doctors have formulated hundreds of recipes for skin and hair care.

Ayurvedic medicine (“Ayurveda” for short) is one of the world's oldest holistic (“whole-body”) healing systems. It was developed more than 3,000 years ago in India.

It is India's primary healthcare system. More than 90 percent of the continent's population use some form of Ayurvedic therapy, including following its dietary principles, practicing traditional or "grandma's medicine," or seeking professional help from trained Ayurvedic practitioners.

There are so many herbs/oils/fruits/vegetables to choose from that all help with overall hair health and growth.

Greens 🌱 So nice to be back in the kitchen again (although missing the @byronyogacentre food!) Created my own cafe style ‘breaky greens’ for lunch today. Kale, eggs, avo, quinoa, cucumber, herbs from the garden and drizzled with my homemade lemon tahini dressing. So good. Starting to put together some wholesome recipes for when I’m consulting in clinic next year! Exciting year ahead 🌿👩‍⚕️ S x
