The art of listening. ‘How do you hear from God?’ This is a question I hear often.
Recently I’ve learned a lot about leading with questions and not with answers. So to answer this, I ask, ‘how do you hear from anyone at all?’
You get within the range of their voice and you LISTEN. And how do you know it is the person you are hearing? If you know them, you know how they sound, you would know their voice if you were in a crowd and they called your name. Of course it’s a different story if you had no idea who they were, they could be talking and you would not recognize that voice.
How do you know His voice or how He speaks? I first learned from the word of God that He speaks, to know how, I go right back there to find out. Spending quality time alone with Him.
I want to know how He speaks so I’ll be able to tell when He’s speaking to me.
So whether I’m in the quiet eerie backwoods of Lichtenberg, or looking at the beautiful scenery in Babelsberg or in a crowded city centre, I will still be able to tell when He calls out my name.
He’s always speaking, are you listening?
