Flashback to this delicious breakfast I ate while away with @i.am.brett a few weeks back πŸ₯“πŸ³ obviously I took every item of food and logged it into MyFitnessPal πŸ™„ despite being essentially recovered from my eating disorder for several years, I've found that calorie counting has been a really hard habit to shake. 
2 weeks ago, I uninstalled the app and decided to eat intuitively (normal healthy eating has its own name, it turns out). It's difficult to forget the numbers I associate with each food, but I'm getting there. Here is what I've discovered so far. 
1/ Nothing terrible happens. I haven't suddenly expanded to the size of a small country or eaten everything in sight.

2/ I can still eat healthy food and enjoy it. I can also still eat junk and enjoy it but not have to see it on the app and feel shit about it later.

3/ I'm actually listening to my hunger cues. I'm not forcing myself to eat when I'm not hungry because I 'should have eaten more by now' and I'm not eating too little because I haven't 'earned it'. So basically not calorie counting is great. I wish I hadn't wasted so much time and energy on it over the years, but shit happens!

Supper will be BBQ chicken and egg fried rice followed by a grenade obviously! Haha! Still 2,000 kcal day so plenty of variety in my food and no miserable huge calorie deficiency weekend binge inducing mind games πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

Planning to run some errands before work then walk in (it's a decent 1k uphill walk.. good for the bottom) then run to the gym tonight to do my burpees for today and then amuse myself until J picks me up. We're planning a leg session over the weekend so I might just do some BW leg work or stretching. It's OK not to go hard at it all the time. πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

I had everything for dinner then a second carb killa.. ooops. Hehe. 100kcal over for the day BUT it was lush AND I ran 7K with Christina (felt lush but way too hot, her ankle held out πŸ‘ŠπŸ½) then did a little shoulders with J and my 100 burpees in the kitchen at home. -
My delicious snacks supper was purple eggs πŸ˜‚, cheese, bacon, chicken sausages, radish, cucumber, celery, carrot and tomatoes. I just love picking at all the flavours. Have made myself lush meals for tomorrow too.. can't wait. -
Still counting today as low carb as my net carbs for the day are 50g! That should be 4 days sub 60g net carbs this week.. maybe I'll be able to avoid the chocolate biscuits this weekend.. maybe not πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

Was looking for inspiration to mentally prepare myself for tomorrow's deadlift test and I found this major #throwback when I first started out. Having only the smallest plates as weights, cardboards to protect the floor and bands to increase the weight. A really ghetto method.

Fast forward 3 years, this has become a part of my lifestyle. I've gained a family, friends and learned so much about how my body works. It was definitely worth it.

Some bench and deadlift day a few days back. Not sure if I'm getting stronger for the bench but the form and control is definitely getting there. Meanwhile, failed 215 on the deadlift for the second rep. It's testing time soon and I'm stoked to end level 1! Let's hope I can go all out and hold  nothing back. β€’

When you're benching 4 times a week now,  things tend to get a little bland especially when this is the least favourite movement. First time trying on the sling shot and it really feels so iffy. My elbows seems to be happy though seeing how it was dancing throughout the bench. Also, countdown to 2 more weeks to attempting a new 1 rep max for the convi as level 1 comes to an end.

Something different to show you today. Honestly these accessories have seriously contributed tremendously to my deadlift thanks to the countless times of analysing and discussion with @koayqunling .These are some of the accessories that I do on my 2nd deadlift day of the week focusing on hamstring, glute activation and also some lats development. 
1st vid: strict pull ups ( I stop the moment I feel I start swinging to pull myself up)
2nd vid: banded hip thrust ( squeezing the glutes and pushing through with the hips)
3rd vid: stiff leg deadlift ( stop just before my back rounds and the maximum stretch of the hamstring)
All in all, for all my accessories on both deadlift days, it usually adds up to about 120 reps each session. Everything is done in a lighter weight because this cycle focuses a lot on muscle activation, control and form correction. Try it! It might benefit you!
