"Rekao sam mu: "Banjaluka i jeste svijet".
Nakon što se malo zamislio, Handke je klimnuo glavom i rekao: "Uh, pa naravno da jeste".

These bright orange Carnelian beads just warms my heart on this cold winters day. And especially because they were left for me in my post box with a note saying "I hope you can use them!" Well yes...of course I can...once I get the holes opened up again. But here's the long story behind these beautiful beads. ✖️ A very nice elderly lady came by asking for a couple custom pieces to be made for her daughter and daughter in law. She had a look at my stone stash and started telling me about these Carnelian beads that she picked up on the beach close to East London. I have to say, I wasn't convinced and quietly thought to myself that I'm pretty sure it was sea glass that she picked up, but seeing my Carnelian cabochons she is now thinking that's what she picked up. I didn't want to be rude and correct her, so I continued to listened to her story and just politely nodded my head in agreement. I wonder if she could see in my eyes that I wasn't really buying this story, because a couple of days later I found a little pouch full of these beads in my post box. 😱 I jumped on Google and started searching for answers, and wow!!! Apparently in the 1600s a Portuguese vessel, the Santo Espirito, was carrying Ming china and Carnelian beads when it sank offshore the East Coast of South Africa. Chips of its blue and white porcelain and sea-battered Carnelian beads still wash up on the sand and among the rocks on Morgans Bay. You can still see the beach sand stuck in the holes of these beads!!! So I guess she was right! 😁😁 And I learned my leasson... trust old ladies! #carnelian#gemstones#gems#shipwreck#indigenousjewels#beads#handcrafted#origional#truehandmade#beach#orange#bohojewelry#bohemian#instasmithy#photooftheday#instagood#mothernature#earthchild#southafrica#beautiful#boho#artinnature#mygypsystore#story#instagram
