First completed piece of 2018! My most recent travels to beautiful Belize has me non-stop thinking of the forms and colors I saw while snorkeling off of Caye Caulker❤️ A lot of the reefs have damage due to the cruise ships that stop along the coastal cities and we were fortunate enough to hear stories of how the locals felt. Resilience and strength, my words for 2018.
Caye Caulker is a small island off the coast of Belize. It is full of bright colors, colorful people, and an easy going island lifestyle. A mix of Mayan, Hispanic, Carribe and Chinese ethnicities make up the population of the island and different languages can be heard around each colorful corner. The island draws people from near and far to snorkel and dive the Meso-american barrier reef (second in size only to Australia's). The aqua blue water is picturesque, warm and teeming with amazing marine life. .
Are you a sunrise or a sunset person? If you come to Ambergris Caye, you'll get treated to some amazing views of both! I prefer sunsets, but I'm always impressed when I manage to wake up for the occasional sunrise and get views like this.
❌THE UNITED STATES BANS BELIZE❌
I can’t explain how much this sadness me.
My country of Belize 🇧🇿 is amongst one of the “Shithole” countries so horrible stated by Donald Trump. Belizeans can no longer be eligible for a U.S. temporary work visas. How can one man be so evil and have so much hatred in his heart ? #immigration#belize#lovenothate ❤️
Rainy day, reading the book all day, never happens that I spend the middle of the day on the couch... keep thinking how many things I could have done at home, but I guess that is what vacations are for.
We had a beautiful day relaxing and wrapping up our trip yesterday! Took the boat to San Pedro & had a private fishing & snorkeling tour in the 2nd largest reef in the world! We caught fish, lobster, & conch, then grilled them on the beach for a fresh late lunch! #GodsGlory#Belize#GodsBeautifulCreation
