It may not seem like much of a mess to you, but it's an epic one to me. It's of the kind that's accumulated over time, during an unusually busy season for the household. The drafting table have turned into one giant side table. A place to stuff the stuff that don't fit into the home we like to present to our guests, or where bills not yet paid goes to hide. The task of clearing it is daunting. Symbolically it's the creative version of going for a run. I can't because my trainers are wet. As long as the mess remain I have a good reason to procrastinate. It will require archeological precision I tell myself; a layer by layer approach. But it's time. I'm going to excavate and file, pay and shred. I'm going to have that desk cleared in a matter of days, and I'm going to lay upon it a large, empty paper and get started on something brave and brand new, ok?
