I took this photo while standing up to my chest in the middle of the Jordan River just outside of Jericho. According to history and theology, this is most likely the area where Jesus was baptized by John and where the Israelites entered the Promised Land. As I stood here, balancing my camera just above the water, I have to admit I was a little scared. I’m sure many of you reading this right now are scared too because it feels like you're up to your neck is chaos, and you’re about to go under. For some, you may feel like you’re already drowning under the pressure, stress, pain or grief of whatever situation you’re facing today. You’re looking for a miracle.
After spending 40 years in the desert, the Israelites came to this river when it was at flood stage, and they needed a miracle too. They were stuck, so they prayed for God to intervene, but nothing seemed to happen. Finally, they decided to literally step out in faith by walking into the river … and as soon as they did, the river stopped flowing and they walked across on dry land. But think about it—for the river to dry up where the people were, God had to have already stopped the water upstream before the people even decided to step forward.
Are you up to your neck in chaos today? Perhaps God wants to remind you that He’s already making a way for you to get through—all you need to do is take a step of faith. “the water above that point began backing up a great distance away ... And the water below that point flowed on to the Dead Sea until the riverbed was dry. Then all the people crossed over near the town of Jericho.” — Joshua 3:16
So why do we inflict self harm? Not just physically but emotionally, we have been warned of things good and bad for us, yet we continue to make choices that hinder us from fully receiving the blessings and love of Christ.
Why do we act like slaves when we are heirs? We are wonderfully made and chosen. By HIS wounds, not our own self-inflicted wounds, we are HEALED. Not continuing to heal.. past tense! So live that way!! .
A pastor shared with me this story about a bad captain. He bullied his subordinates until one day the owner of the ship put his son as the new captain - he was the complete opposite of the old. The old captain was put to the cellar. One day, a sailor passed by and the old captain barked insults and commands. The sailor was shaking, he scurried off to do the errands. The new captain saw this unfold and asked, "Why are you taking commands from the old captain? He no longer has any authority over you."
So please ask yourself this question: "Why am I doing this to myself?"
Lord I call Your name
I hear Your voice
Searching for me
Lord I humble myself
I'm on my knees
Here in Your presence
I give my life to You
All my burdens and my fears
I lay it down
I let it go
I surrender all
I surrender all
All to You my blessed Savior
I surrender all
Draw me close to Your place
Guide my heart with grace
In Your hands, I surrender all
"For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength" • Philippians 4:13 • I love that our God is the God of the turn around • He is always so full of hope and is always looking forward, not back • I love that in Him we find 'the new' - in EVERYTHING • He takes our past and uses it to help others • He takes our minds and renews our thoughts • He take our hearts of stone and gives us a heart of flesh, a heart after His • He takes our 'cant' to 'can do' • He has faith in you • So come on, make this verse 👆🏽 your declaration today! • You CAN because He empowers you!

Hey apapun masalahmu tetap berada dibawah kendaliNYA. percayalah !.
