@Regrann from @akanundrum - I created this post 15 weeks ago and I am still seeing it on my timeline TODAY!!! We often say this is "just" social media, it's no big deal right? I say wrong! I say this is an opportunity to inform/entertain/enlighten/heal/help/teach/share/effect and THIS is something I am proud to see spreading all across the internet! My name has been removed/covered up but the message has not! 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ WE constantly say #SupportBlackBusiness yet we: -
•(a) question and complain about the prices being too high -
•(b) are always looking for #TheHookUp - •(c) question the integrity and direction of the business owners profits -
•(d) feel their services/products should be FREE -
•(e) complain...complain...COMPLAIN about the services/products EVEN WHEN IT'S FREE -
•(f) encourage each other to bootleg or steal Black products -
•(g) complain when Black entrepreneurs make "more than enough" money -
•(h) act as if our patronizing puts the business in-debt to us -
•(i) use Anti-Capitalism as an excuse for this behavior while preaching #BlackEconomicPower and existing and participating in a capitalistic society. -
➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ WE DON'T DO THIS TO NON-BLACK BUSINESSES AND IF WE DO, IT'S NOT WITH THE VIGOR IN WHICH WE DO OUR OWN PEOPLE.
I'M CONFUSED. WE COMPLAIN THAT BLACK BUSINESSES NEED TO BE BETTER - WE NEED TO BE BETTER PATRONS.
This is not up for debate. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
#TakeTheVowWithMe if you agree!
Excited to announce that one of my mentors, Ron Busby, Pres/CEO of U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. was featured on the cover as the "Top Advocate for Black Businesses" of MEA Magazine! There is also a pictorial shoutout to The Black Male Entrepreneur Institute. We salute you Ron and your team for the work you're doing for us. #blackeconomicpower#BlackEconomics#LifeAndTimesOfHJ
