Top 10 Uniforms From The 2017-2018 Season:
#4 Virginia Tech “Hokie Stone”
Worn: Sept. 9 | Vs. Delaware
Why: A lot of people really liked the Hokie Stone uni that Va Tech wore in the Battle At Bristol Last Season, but I personally liked this combo better. The white helmet with the Stone logo was a better look to me, and the Stone Jersey on white pants completed a clean uniform that they should hopefully continue to mix and match with.

MAURICE HURST SCOUTING REPORT:
What He Does Well - Hurst explodes off the ball with great initial quickness. This makes him a dangerous pass rusher and a quick penetrator against the run. Shows a good understanding of how to attack blockers as a pass rusher. Has a relatively advanced arsenal of moves as a pass rusher, shows a strong enough base to bull rush, a deadly rip and a well refined swim. All pass rush moves are executed with quickness and violence in his hands, which can overwhelm blockers. Keeps hands active and can win with relentless effort when initial move doesn't work. Has good strength in his legs and hips and is harder to move off the point of attack than you would expect of a 280lb player, natural leverage helps in this regard as he can get under blockers and hold his spot. Can shoot gaps with his great upfield quickness and create plays behind the LOS. Motor runs high and shows great competitive toughness
Where He Struggles - Lack of length means he loses the initial engagement with blockers. Longer blockers can get hands on him inside and when they do he struggles to shed. Can be too aggressive at times and will overrun his gap, leaving a gaping hole behind him. Needs to react better to reach, down blocks and pulls. Too often fails to recognise different types of blocks and allows himself to be moved where the blocker wants him to go. Can duck head and lose sight of where the play is, making it difficult to impact the play
Overall - Hurst is an intriguing prospect, he has great athleticism and pass rush upside, but has a few kinks to iron out in the run game. I see his best fit as an under tackle in a 4-3. My comparison for him is Dominique Easley as they have very similar physical profiles and are great interior rushers.
