8.7 mile run today!
It wasn't my best pace, but it was my longest distance that I have ever done. Also I felt absolutely horrible last night; fever, body chills, nauseous, stomach spasms and pains. Today I woke up and I felt better, not 100%, but I was able to eat and drink without causing my stomach more pain. I was pretty excited not only that I felt better, but also it meant I could go for a run! I ran some hills and stairs and by the end of my run I was sore and my face most likely looked ridiculous. And I am okay with that! My will to push through and contine was far greater than me wanting to stop.
Constantly push past your limits. If you have more to give then keep going. Impress yourself and make yourself proud. Even on the days where you don't feel like you did your best, be greatful for every chance you get to practice. Each time you put for your best effort you will become better.
REECE "The Wizard" ADAMS
Apologies for the delay in this thank you but it has taken me all week to to work out what to say!
There's a reason you have a two month waiting list Reece and that's because you are brilliant.
There is nothing I can say in this post that will do your brilliance justice - but meticulous, calculated, thorough, perfectionist, dedicated, OCD, all or nothing, black and white, educated professional are just some of the words to best describe you.
I have been asked why I keep coming back. What keeps me motivated to come in and work with YOU every week. What is it about Reece? The answer is that you make me want to better. Strive for more. Push for more. Unlock my true potential. Not just in the gym but in my life. In every part of me. My standards for myself in my sport and in my life have always been incredibly high but you help me push those boundaries further again.
You challenge me mentally, physically and emotionally and I cannot thank you enough for helping me start to BECOME that athlete, that person I always knew was inside me somewhere.
We are cut from the same cloth you and I. Relentless overachievers, never completely satisfied and I think that is what makes us such an exceptional team.
Neither of us care much for "glory" or praise and we struggle to accept our achievements at times but guess what coach - WE FUCKING DID IT! WE FUCKING BROUGHT MY BEST BODY TO THAT STAGE AND TOOK OUT A PRO TITLE!
So be PROUD. Be proud of the incredible human that you are. KNOW that you are as great as people say you are.
I cannot thank you enough for helping me make my wildest dreams come true. There is no one I would rather take these journeys with - so you're stuck with me!
Cannot wait to see what we do next - BRING IT! 😈💎💋
If it was easy everyone would do it. Boxing is the loneliest sport in the world. You have to fully dedicate your life to be a great fighter. There is no girlfriends, nightlife, unhealthy eating, and all that other bullshit that people do. I give my body the best food, I train day and night, and my circle is tiny. In order to be great you have to sacrifice lots, and discipline yourself. I forgot to mention how much I love the life of a fighter, not only has it made me physically/mentally stronger it has also really taught me a lot about myself and who my real friends are. This life isn’t meant for everyone but it’s meant for me. I’ve had tremendous amounts of support along the way, but at the end of the day it’s up to me to put in the work...
