I had so much fun helping this group of amazing young artists and entrepreneurs uncover their #truevoice and their superpower at @uforchange.😀 We dispelled a bunch of #personalbranding myths and went deeper into our "why" - our purpose. Thanks to the UforChange team for having me! 🙏 #twitter

In January, over 100 girls will start school and be enrolled in our holistic education program in Mozambique! These girls will develop their leadership skills and gain confidence to become the next generation of female leaders. 💪🏽Can't wait! 💗
Our teams make at least one or more outreaches per month. Whenever we go outside, that means a lot of planning in advance. Where should we go? Who is the ideal contact person on site? What are the costs for us, who organizes the transport and most importantly: How many people will probably end up with glasses?
On our way there we cross countless small villages, communities or sleepy little towns. How many people live here without having glasses but eventually will never get one - is a question that often haunts me for nights. We know that we can and will reach a lot of people - but my heart wants that now!
Not tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, I want these people to be able to see the bird in the treetop that they have only heard so far. I want the mother of seven children to be able to return to her job to put food on the table and give them a school education.
It's just a simple pair of glasses - why is the problem so gigantically big I ask myself every night - then I catch myself again and say to myself: Today perhaps only a hundred people get glasses that they have used so much, these are 100 pairs of eyes that can now fully show their wearers the beauty of our world. How should we achieve our goal - if I no longer appreciate this extraordinaryness?
Yes, today many people will see their world with completely new eyes - that's what counts. #nothingbutlove#nevergiveup#change#stepbystep

#tbt Reflecting this morning on the beginning of GOF. This is the only remaining photo (computer crash this summer ) from our first “unofficial outing” to Karura Forest, 4 years ago. I was amazed they were afraid of the silence and overjoyed to nerd-out on tree species and critters with them. I was also worried I hiked them too far (we had to eventually piggyback the little ones), and scared the black mambo 🐍 I saw the week before would come out to play. They all received a camera to “tell their experience, from their own POV” and this concept of “owning it” has been foundational to the work of #GirlsOnFireLeaders . The girls returned to the forest yesterday with the generous Villa Leaders @the_villa_blog and I’m sure they are reflecting on how far WE have come together. 🙏 Thank you for all that have journeyed with us. ❤️🔥 P.s. could I be any happier in this pic?
Feel so good, give a holiday gift that will keep giving (link in bio)💓 . .

At the roaring 20’s speakeasy farewell party for the dapper @lehaypress the other night I was cracking up when I asked my friend Benjamin, why are you leaving NYC to move back home to Maine? As we joked on our rants about some of the things that drive us crazy about NYC, like the dirty streets & crazies on the subway, he preceded to break it down on why there is no need to live in NYC to live the fabulous life. Jet-setting around the world is on the horizon & his unforgettable quote, ‘I can wear Givenchy on my lake boat. I can ski all days on Wednesdays, plus I can work from wherever & fly back.’ Well I damn sure want to join him on the lake boat surrounded by gorgeous trees in Maine donning McQueen or Gaultier, depending on my mood. 😊 A girl can dream!!!
Thanks for the excuse to wear my beloved grandmothers evening mink. Can’t do that everyday. Bougies somehow find each other in the fray. Enjoy the new chapter @lehaypress . Here is to making BIG moves in 2018. #DesignYourLifeWithHope

🤔🤔🤔What do you think about this?
I believe there a certain level of stress and pressure that acts as a roadblock to your success💰
Does this cause you to give up?👊🏼 Solution: We must know ourselves if we plan to go into business for ourselves 🔥Know your strengths and weaknesses. Then, find a partner who's strengths offset your weaknesses. 💯It will minimize those stresses.
Don't let anything stop you!!!🤑
“I’ve always been interested in languages and policy-making, either at the national, supranational and at the political level – but also at the level of education... I feel that the questions about language are so ideologically loaded, and so politically loaded, but very often we do not see that kind of political
underpinning and ideological loading. So my work a lot of the times has been in terms of researching to critique policy documents and curricular documents for the ideological underpinnings that exist within... [My work is also] involved in the actual questions about language and what it means, how we use it, and how we dominate people. Or how we are able to create relationships through language, or languages, or the various semiotic systems that we may have available.” Bessie Dendrinos, President of the European Civil Society Platform for Multilingualism, sharing what inspires her to work in the field of languages and language policy. @mavenclinic is an organisation that connects women with doctors, nurses, nutritionists and a range of other healthcare practitioners on-demand. Founder and CEO, Katherine Ryder was driven into her entrepreneurial path when she recognised the need for practitioners with advanced knowledge of female health. This is a UNIVERSAL need! In first class hospitals, in refugee camps, in traditional tribes: the verdict is in, and women are saying they need women (or at least specialised and skilled practitioners!) Thanks for listening Katherine!

My last weekend as a 34 year old! I’ve learnt and grown so much in myself this year- this year has flown. I’m the same girl but far from her at the same time. .
This week my boss said to me that he thought I was remarkable, strong yet still vulnerable- and nearly brought me to tears. Something about what he said and then being nominated for @bycacademy award, which felt like the cherry on top of my year...All if it incredibly exciting but also making me feel more reflective than I usually ever would.
Some years are more for growing than they are for resting. This year has certainly been one of those.
Bring on 35 💖🎉
