A cheeseburger is a hamburger topped with cheese. Traditionally, the slice of cheese is placed on top of the meat patty, but the burger can include many variations in structure, ingredients, and composition. The cheese is normally added to the cooking hamburger patty shortly before the patty is entirely cooked, which allows the cheese to melt. As with other hamburgers, a cheeseburger may include toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mustard, mayonnaise, ketchup, or bacon. Happy Cheeseburger Day!

1 ½ cups Nacho Cheese Doritos, finely crushed⠀
1 lb 85% lean ground beef⠀
1 Tbsp mustard⠀
1 ½ tsp kosher salt⠀
1 tsp black pepper⠀
⅛ tsp cayenne⠀
2 oz Monterey Jack cheese, in small cubes⠀
1 Tbsp olive oil⠀
Green leaf lettuce⠀
In a large bowl, add crushed chips, ground beef, egg, mustard, 1 teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon pepper and cayenne. Mix well.⠀ Divide the meat into 4 portions, shaping into 1-inch thick patties. With your thumb, make an indent the middle of each patty. Add ¼ of the cheese cubes to each patty. Gently pull the meat over to cover the cheese.
