Regranned from :entertainmentninfo - Rebel Wilson awarded millions in Australia defamation case #FACTS SEPT. 21, 2017. A judge awarded Rebel Wilson record damages of $3.66 million on Wednesday over magazine articles the actress said cost her roles in Hollywood films.
A Supreme Court jury in Australia’s Victoria state had decided in June the articles claiming she lied about her age, origins of her first name and her upbringing in Sydney were defamatory.
Justice John Dixon said a substantial award amount was required to “vindicate” Wilson after her reputation as an “actress of integrity was wrongly damaged.” Bauer Media, publisher of the Australian magazines Woman’s Day, Australian Women’s Weekly, NW and OK, said it was considering the judgment.
The 37-year-old Wilson, best known for the comedies “Pitch Perfect” and “Bridesmaids,” was in London on Wednesday and her lawyers were unable to immediately talk to her about the decision. “I’m looking forward to helping out some great Australian charities and supporting the Oz film industry with the damages I’ve received,” she tweeted. “Also looking forward to getting back to my career and entertaining everyone!” Her lawyer Richard Leder said outside court the damages were about four times higher than the previous Australian record for a defamation case.
Her legal team would also apply for Bauer to pay all her legal costs, Leder said.
She had sought more than AU$7 million. #ENTERTAINMENTNINFO#NINFONETWORK#REBELWILSON#AUSTRALIA#USWEEKLY#SYDNEY#MELBOURNE#NEWZEALAND#AUSSIE#DOWNUNDER#VOGUE#VICTORIASSECRET#HUFFPOST#BUZZFEED#HUFFPOSTGRAM#CELEBRITIES#HOLLYWOOD#HOLLYWOODREPORTER#CNN#BBC#OKMAGAZINE#PEOPLEMAGAZINE#VOGUEMAGAZINE#ENEWS#MTV#TMZ#MTO#WSHH

That's what may have happened at the SEC.
The regulatory agency, whose job is to keep investors on a level playing field, says its network was hacked last year, possibly allowing intruders to make money by getting their hands on crucial financial information before everyone else." Read More : Link is in the Bio!
Dear CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC and Fox News and every other news outlet out there
I am sure you are aware of the Category 4 Hurricane Maria that has devastated our fellow Americans, living in the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico.
I would appreciate it if you FOR ONCE put your politics aside and give more coverage on what is going on in an island that has been completely shut out from the rest of the world! Just like you had around the clock coverage for Hurricane Harvey in Texas and Hurricane Irma in Florida we would appreciate the same coverage.
There are currently 5 million Puerto Ricans that live in the U.S that have NO COMMUNICATION with loved ones on the island.
We are seeing more from locals on the island who used the little bit of signal they have to update us. And please don't just show us San Juan or any of the tourists areas. There is more to Puerto Rico than just that.
The last 24 hrs have been the most stressful, and the anxiety, we, Puerto Ricans are feeling is only going to intensify the longer we have to wait to hear from loved ones. 😔 🙏🏽 #PrayForPuertoRico#BoricuaStrong#WeNeedNewsCoverage#cnn#abc#cbs#nbc#msnbc#foxnews

Iran said Saturday that it had successfully tested a new ballistic missile with a range of 2,000 kilometers, or about 1,200 miles, and would keep developing its arsenal despite pressure by the United States.
The United States has imposed unilateral sanctions on Iran, saying its tests violate a United Nations resolution that calls on the country not to undertake activities related to missiles capable of delivering nuclear weapons. Iran says it has no such plans.
Iran said in its announcement on Saturday that the missile could carry several warheads.
The state broadcaster IRIB showed footage of the missile test without giving its time and location. It included video from an onboard camera, which the broadcaster said showed the detachment of the cone that carries multiple warheads. “You are seeing images of the successful test of the Khorramshahr ballistic missile with a range of 2,000 kilometers, the latest missile of our country,” IRIB said, adding that this was Iran’s third missile with such range.
In the dispute between late-night host Jimmy Kimmel and Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.), one of the key authors of the long-shot GOP effort to repeal the Affordable Care Act, a key issue is whether the proposal maintains the ACA’s guarantee that people with preexisting condition can obtain health insurance.
That has always been one of the most popular parts of Obamacare, and President Trump has insisted he would not sign a bill without such protections. He tweeted that this version of repeal — co-sponsored by Cassidy and Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) — contains such protections.
We previously examined Cassidy’s claim that his proposal would cover more people than the ACA, giving him Three Pinocchios. Now let’s take a look at this claim.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on Saturday slammed President Donald Trump’s criticism of NFL players kneeling in protest during the National Anthem in remarks the President made at a rally in Alabama Friday night.
Goodell called Trump’s comments “divisive” and said they show a “lack of respect” for the league and its players. “The NFL and our players are at our best when we help create a sense of unity in our country and our culture,” Goodell said in the statement. “There is no better example than the amazing response from our clubs and players to the terrible natural disasters we’ve experienced over the last month. Divisive comments like these demonstrate an unfortunate lack of respect for the NFL, our great game and all of our players, and a failure to understand the overwhelming force for good our clubs and players represent in our communities.” At a rally for Alabama Republican Sen. Luther Strange, Trump said team owners should fire players for taking a knee during the national anthem.
Trump added that if fans would “leave the stadium” when players kneel in protest during the national anthem, “I guarantee, things will stop.” Trump said NFL owners should respond to the players by saying, “Get that son of a bitch off the field right now, he’s fired. He’s fired!” “For a week, (that owner would) be the most popular person in this country. Because that’s a total disrespect of our heritage. That’s a total disrespect for everything we stand for,” Trump said.
Last year, Colin Kaepernick — formerly with the San Francisco 49ers, but currently without a team — drew national attention for refusing to stand during “The Star-Spangled Banner” prior to kickoff. “I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,” Kaepernick told NFL Media in August 2016.
His protest spurred both support and backlash.
Trump said Stephen Curry is no longer invited to Washington to celebrate the Warrior's NBA title hours after the athlete announced he did not want to visit the White House. “Going to the White House is considered a great honor for a championship team,” he tweeted Saturday morning. “Stephen Curry is hesitating, therefore invitation is withdrawn!”.
Three-time NBA champion and Cleveland Cavaliers player LeBron James was one of the first to fire back at Trump on behalf of his fellow athlete.
"U bum [Curry] already said he ain't going! So therefore ain't no invite," he tweeted. "Going to the White House was a great honor until you showed up.".
Singer John Legend, a vocal Trump critic, echoed the sentiment, writing "Perhaps it's not a great honor while your stench is there.".
Several members of the Super Bowl-winning Patriots skipped the White House trip in April because of the man who currently occupies 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., including Martellus Bennett, Devin McCourty, LeGarrette Blount and Chris Long.
While most people are more concerned with the threat of nuclear war posed by the ongoing spat between North Korea and US President Donald Trump, others believe that today is doomsday, courtesy of a mysterious planet hurtling right for us.
Wildfires, hurricanes, earthquakes and Trump’s war of words with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un have dominated the news cycle in recent months, which many have taken as signs of the impending apocalypse.
However, a combination of Christian numerology, signs in the stars, and a fictional planet named Nibiru heading towards the Earth have proven a more compelling narrative for many doomsday theorists.NASA has repeatedly debunked the existence of the ‘killer planet,’ stating that there would at least be some visible evidence in the solar system of such a large body (gravity is a mysterious but largely inescapable force, after all). There is also no precedent for hidden worlds suddenly appearing, but there is a first time for everything.Instead, we should be more concerned about the long, slow death of the planet from climate change rather than any science fiction or religious doomsday conspiracy theories, even ones suggesting mysterious planets are coming to blindside us.
FUCK #nfl#cnn#nba#msnbc MAN THE FUCK UP YOU CRY BABY WHINEY ASS MO'S!!! AND JUST SUPPORT OUT COUNTRY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PRESIDENT!! GTFO then this is supposed to be OUR HOME!!!! Athletes ain't shit, no better than ANYONE ELSE!!! leave race out of everything
President Trump withdraws Stephen Curry’s White House invitation #FACTS SEPT. 23, 2017. President Trump said Stephen Curry is no longer invited to Washington to celebrate the Warrior's NBA title hours after the athlete announced he did not want to visit the White House. “Going to the White House is considered a great honor for a championship team,” he tweeted Saturday morning. “Stephen Curry is hesitating, therefore invitation is withdrawn!” Three-time NBA champion and Cleveland Cavaliers player LeBron James was one of the first to fire back at Trump on behalf of his fellow athlete. Singer John Legend, a vocal Trump critic, echoed the sentiment, writing "Perhaps it's not a great honor while your stench is there." The Golden State Warrior, who has long been critical of Trump and his administration, said during a press conference Friday night that he was strongly against heading to D.C. and that he would tell his team as much when they discussed the matter. “I don’t want to go,” he said bluntly.
Earlier this month, ESPN SportsCenter host Jemele Hill described the President as a “bigot” and a “white supremacist.” ESPN later released a statement calling the comments “inappropriate,” while Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders called it a “fireable offense.” "Hey @StephenCurry30, welcome to the club bro," Hill tweeted Saturday. #NINFONETWORK#ENTERTAINMENTNINFO#STEPHCURRY#DONALDTRUMP#GSW#NBA#BASKETBALL#ATHLETES#SPORTS#POLITICO#CNN#CNBC#SPORTSCENTER#CLEVELAND#CAVS#CAVALIERS#GOLDENSTATE#WARRIORSBASKETBALL#LOSANGELES#BUZZFEED#HUFFPOST#HUFFPOSTGRAM#ENEWS#KNICKS#JORDAN
BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces detained two Palestinian teenagers on Saturday in Hebron city in the southern occupied West Bank, according to official Palestinian Authority (PA) Wafa news agency.
Wafa reported that Israeli forces raided the Bab al-Zawiya area of Hebron city and detained Salim Muhammad Samouh, 14, and Hamdi Khalil Qawasmeh, 14, for unknown reasons.
An Israeli army spokesperson said they would look into reports.
Israeli raids in Palestinian towns, villages, and refugee camps are a daily occurrence in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, with a biweekly average of 85 search and detention raids carried out thus far in 2017, according to UN documentation.
Israeli forces detained 522 Palestinians, including 130 minors and 16 women, over the course of the month of August, according to a joint report released Palestinian institutions on Sunday.
The total number of Palestinians in Israeli prisons reached 6,300 prisoners, the report said, 64 of them women. Among them are 10 girls under the age of 18 and 300 underage boys, 450 administrative detainees imprisoned without charge or trial, and 12 members of the Palestinian Legislative Council, the Palestinian parliament.
