There really aren't enough words in the English language to describe sunsets. I'll settle with awestruck, but that really isn't as sexy as I'd like it to be. (Sigh) I shoulda been French. I took this in my backyard before the 👽 sucked me through that hole. I'm actually writing you from the future. 🙀
Following my path these last few months has taken me to beautiful and unexpected places. Over the past few days it has taken me back to a starting point, to reorganize and reassess. It seems a bit rocky now but I trust that I am moving in the right direction 🙏🏼🦌#WildAtHeart#trust#coloradoisbeautiful
Kevin had to pull in to this cute little town to fill the gas tank. As soon as we got off the highway, this lake and all of its glory came into view. As always here in Colorado, a little picture can't convey the incredible beauty of nature.
As we left, I told him we will have to come back here and spend a couple days. The perfect place to rejuvenate.
Feelin some type of wonderful about this 50 degree weather and this amazing blanket scarf. Yet, still unsure how I feel about my hair getting this long.
Also this selfie was necessary because tomorrow is 3 MONTHS IN COLORADO. And everything about it is beautiful.
If home is not a place, but a feeling, the feeling I️ get driving back to Salida from Denver is pretty damn amazing!
I️ will always be a TX girl at heart, but this decade I’ve lived in CO has brought out in me an intense love for mountains & outdoor adventures. I️ saw this view last week coming towards the Collegiate Peaks - the signal that my new home, Salida, was near. I️ was instantly filled with excitement & joy. I️ live here!!. I️ get treated with snow-covered peaks & magical sunsets (#nofilter btw). While I’ve felt at home in TX and Denver, I️’m feeling more at home here, in Salida, though it’s been less than a year.
It’s true, home is a feeling. And I️ feel we can have several homes that feel good in different ways in different times of our lives.
I️ hope you feel at home wherever you are!
Woke up thanking God for allowing me to see another Birthday and this AMAZING view! I could NEVER thank him enough for all of my blessings! This birthday was full of first. Jumping completely out of my comfort zones and facing some fears. From traveling solo on a plane for the first time and getting around colorado without a car (rental car problems😡) to renting rooms in a strangers home through airbnb. By far the craziest planned/unplanned trip of my life, lol. Going with the flow and figuring things out as they come was surprisingly what I needed because I had the BEST birthday yet! So thankful to God for planning this trip for me because EVERYTHING about planning this trip was too easy. From the $69 roundtrip plane ticket to everyone who helped watch my hardheads without hesitation. THIS single mom AND special needs mother is beyond grateful, and this trip was a dream come true for ME! So I'm sharing ALL of my trip😂 #happybirthdaytome#blessed#ovo#coloradoisbeautiful
