We're Moana obsessed over here! She left for our camping trip in her best Moana outfit, had me put waves in her hair and sang her theme song the whole weekend. We may not have oceans in Colorado but these mountain top lakes are pretty hard to beat and she was able to stay in character for as long as she could stand the freezing water.
Every picture has a story. I spent the day at Piney River Ranch in Colorado, fly fishing and photographing the area. There were moose everywhere. If you look closely, there are two moose off to the right in this image. Just after this image was captured, a momma moose and a baby came right out of the bushes behind me. I was completely terrified to say the least. I made eye contact with the mom and slowly backed off. I did manage to capture a few pictures once I felt that I was a safe distance. Needless to say, this was the end of my sunset photo session. Swipe right to see the momma and baby.
It's that time of year again. When everything gets more vivid and crisp, the hillsides seem to glow and the storms start to brew.
The annual "squeeze every possible ounce of enjoyment out of the season" has commenced. Bring in the adventure! #exploresummit#friscobikepark#fallcolors
November 15th will mark two years of adventuring and getting lost on purpose in this beautiful state, my favorite state. I knew I would live here, long before I actually lived here. ColoRADo your the best!
South Park Presbyterian Church
The Fairplay Church was put together around 1845. I say 'put together' because this was a Sears and Roebuck assembly kit that was assembled once it arrived. For years it didn't have any insulation and the wind would invade the inside and during the winter the snow would ride the wind to the masses that sat huddled together. They finally (don't know the year) put in insulation, an inner wall and a new furnace because the boiler kept blowing out. Sorry for the bottom of photo being cut off. I thought I had left enough room for IGs format.
