I love smoothies because it gives my digestion a little break and I can pack a bunch of great stuff in one cup. Also, consider buying the reusable stainless steel straws! They are great to use and the earth will thank you! 🌏 🙏🏽
Leftover chicken breast and some frozen veggies makes for a great breakfast wrap at my desk. 👌🏽 All I did to save time was shred up some cooked chicken and put frozen veggies in a to-go container the night before. That way I can easily grab it and go when I head out the door in the morning and heat it up at work. I have coconut wraps in my desk, so I just put it all on the wrap and this is breakfast! and AIP elimination phase friendly too! .
I always try to get some probiotics in the morning, so I’ll drink half a bottle of kombucha or take a probiotic pill. How many of you like kombucha? just curious! My husband and some of my friends hate the taste, but I love it!
Can I get some of this banoffee cheesecake delivered to the sofa please? Recipe over on the blog 😏 link in bio as always, happy Monday folks! 😘

Last thoughts for the night...I have been brainstorming topics of things that I think would be interesting to discuss with fellow IBD-ers and eventually want to be able to post on IG and get some of those conversations going! Right now I have a decent little list, but if any of you have specific questions or ideas for posts that you would like to see, I am totally open to suggestions! I only started this page about two weeks ago, but I already feel like I have found a whole community of people that I can honestly relate to and it’s really encouraging and really refreshing! And I promise when I get out of here, maybe not every single one of my posts will be selfies from the hospital bed! I promise, I have other exciting things to post, just not getting much of a change of scenery right now! Can you tell I like the cat filter?? 💜✨💩 And for those of you wondering, this is #babynelly that I’m snuggling with...my go to stuffed animal any time I’m stuck in the hospital! 💕🐶
Here are some pics from Cassie and I’s second annual infusion together 💜💉🏩 Words can’t describe how forever grateful I am for her and how much she genuinely makes me happy on my worst days mentally and physically 💞 Thank you for your unconditional love, humor, and support! I’m so glad I have the ability to call you one of my best friends and my #SpoonieSister 💜 #Crohns#IBDAwareness
The key to living with a chronic illness I believe is to be able to laugh and stay positive in the good, bad and outright scary times. hence the photo at the hospital 😂
Just over 2 years now since my Crohn's Disease tried to kill me and no idea when it will try to again, never take your health for granted and just keep on bossing it. 👌👊
Thank you to the two humans I may never know, who decided to donate their blood. Folks like you help give others their life back, or like me make it a lot more liveable. While this is not the first time and potentially not the last time I'm receiving a blood transfusion, I'm truely grateful to the individuals that make the choice to donate. After 12 hours at the hospital, a B12 shot, iron infusion, and two units of blood later, I get to head home.
Like my blood type says "B positive" and I'm going to keep trying to... I mean it's in my blood hehe.
As a way to give back, we are having a drawing for a free Reiki session. No catches - click the link in our profile, enter the info, and we will let you know if you are the lucky winner on January 1st. We can do the session remotely and it doesn't matter if you are a client or not. 💓
My first hospital stay in an adult hospital. It’s sad not to be at my #ICN centers, but growing up going there and learning from those doctors helped me prepare for this. At adult hospitals you really have to advocate for yourself to get the care your body deserves and needs. I am in great hands here, but I have had to push for times when I didn’t agree with the doctor on some treatment plans. I’m grateful I started out at @cincychildrens that led me to be the advocate I am today. I even had a nurse here tell me I was a great advocate for myself- unfortunately sometimes we know what our bodies needs more than doctors who see us for 5 seconds (even though they have good intentions). Always listen to your intuition when it comes to your body’s health! •
Rrrrrremicade day. Pffft and it wiped me the eff out today. I’ve been so sick for weeks and this infusion today rocked my world. I’m sure my Crohns will improve a little but if my other symptoms don’t improve, I have to get tested for mono next week, I had a low grade fever today today too which I didn’t know... and my bp was super low again, 91/52, no wonder I’m so dizzy and lethargic... hope I feel better soon. It’s been a rough fucking month.
Anyone else out there Remicade-ing this week? 🎈
Me and my baby girl @madi_weiss. Im so proud of this girl and the woman she is becoming. I love her with all my heart and think and worry about her everyday. Madi you are the most amazing girl ever and I can't wait to see the amazing things you accomplish in your life. 💖💖💖💖 You make me so incredibly proud.
Random thoughts to improve stays at the hospital...could think of plenty more but these three keep coming to mind! How about you guys? What kinds of services or perks would you enjoy at the hospital? Would love to hear what you guys come up with! 💜✨💩 P.S. still using snap filters over here, deal with it! P.P.S. Offering a serious reward to anyone who can figure out how to smuggle my 80 pound chocolate lab in here for a quick snuggle sesh! 🐶
Day in the life with Crohn’s...everyone’s brother’s uncles friends son had and cured it. 🙄 #crohnsiscray#annoying
Reverse Flys on high bench
If you’ve got a high bench at your gym use it! Most people have underdeveloped rear delts and overdeveloped front delts. Don’t forget about hitting each body part from all angles.
Rear flys are key to developing “3D” shoulders. Notice I changed my wrist position as I fatigued, just another way to get additional reps in. Rear flys are a short ROM, perform movement without retracting scapula to remove trap involvement.

“I CAN’T RIGHT NOW…”🙄🙄🙄
Why... because it's the holidays season? But you also said that around Thanksgiving. And 2 months before when you went on vacation by the ocean. And then again back in July because there were too many summer parties.
Do you see where I'm going with this? You've created a story about yourself that "too much life" comes up and "now isn't the right time."
So you believe that.... Every. Single. Damn. Time. As a result...
*You never lose those 15 lbs.
*You never eliminate your fatigue
*You never fix your bloating
*You never resolve your anxiety
*You never restore your menstrual cycle
Your conscious mind is telling you're too busy so you're deferring the single most important thing you need to do. What you need is to challenge your story and SPICE IT TF UP. ⚠️
Life will not stop, but isn't the purpose of doing the one thing you're avoiding intended to enhance your health? Okay, so how the fuck is that serving you at all? EXACTLY... You know you need to get it done. So why haven't you yet? I'll tell you why....
You're doing it because you enjoy the comfort of being uncomfortable. You do it out of a subconscious FEAR. Are you okay with that?🙈
Because if so, then you can just stop reading. But you're far from being the highest version of yourself, the strongest person you can be, and the MOST empowered badass you want to be. If you continue to maintain your old habits you're never going reach your greatest potential. You just won't.😦
If you never break these unhelpful habits, you're going to continue to be sick. Your future is looking bleak - I can see it. And so will you.
Enough with the "I'll start on Monday" or "I'll start after the New Year" bullshit. No you won't. Your history already validates you won't. What you need is to fucking change today -- RIGHT NOW. ✌️💪
