Please call 618-664-6200.
Please be polite when you get through .
I’ve tried numerous times and it kept ringing but eventually a lady picked up.
She was very polite.
I told her about my concern and she said that if he has a complaint he can file it with the prison but she knows there are vegan options at the buffet ...
Except I said he is in solitary. She couldn’t comment on that...
I asked to speak with Tom Werlich and she said it’s like me asking to speak with the president 😡
I’m supposed to send him a letter... I really hope the more of us call, they will do something about his situation . I just hope it won’t make it worse for him.. ... #walterbond
Well it’s official I’ve joined the 30s club! I had a fabulous day thanks to my amazing family and friends!!! To be completely honest I never really envisioned myself making it to 30 but I’m so grateful I did and I’m even more grateful to have the people in my life that I currently do. 29 was a pretty insane year!I gave birth to my son Kai, battled postpartum depression and became a badass vegan activist😜I have no doubt that 30 is going to be great because I’ve got everything I need and I’ve never felt better! Ps this vegan peanut butter fudge was DELICIOUS!!! Thanks @dougmcnish
Thank you to this man for being by my side for almost all of my 20’s. we celebrated my 22 birthday together , as friends and today we celebrated my 30th,as husband and wife with our almost 1 year old son!!! I was too busy celebrating to think about getting a picture of the three of us together😬This year has definitely been our most challenging but it has also been the most rewarding!I’m so lucky to have you in my life and I can’t wait to do great things together!
I am vegan.
If I say cheese or ice cream or fish filet, or ANYTHING else, I mean I’m having it in Vegan version.
I don’t randomly eat animals or their by-products because I have nothing better to do. If I don’t say Vegan ice cream or vegan this or Vegan that, try not to have a mini heart attack and blast me and point fingers.
That finger, you should turn on yourself and ask yourself WHY.
WHY do you continue to kill innocent sentient beings, for absolutely no reason?
You’re not doing it for survival. You’re doing it because you’re selfish. Yes, we were all brainwashed but now you know the truth...
You still choose to eat the remains of tortured animals because you’re too lazy to say NO MORE. I’m better than this. I’m aware of the abuse, death and destruction I’m causing, it’s time for me to get my shit together and make a change.
I’m better than this. It’s time to wipe the blood off of my hands and choose kindness and compassion. Time to be a responsible, grateful, respectful, ethical, knowledgeable, moral citizen of this Planet and EARN my right to be here.
It’s time to stop being a parasite and destroy everything I touch because I like to cover my eyes and stay comfortable and because it’s more socially acceptable.
It’s time to make a change. That time is NOW.
This planet is dying, animals are dying, humans are dying.
And I have the power to do something about it.
WAKE UP. GO VEGAN! 🌱
My dog eating vegan food is fantastic.
It’s good for him, it’s good for the animals and it’s good for the planet.
The only thing is that he poops A LOT.
Like 6 times per day sometimes.
Sometimes he wakes me up at like 2.30am...
But, that’s ok.
As long as I have a happy, healthy dog, I’ll take it.
There are quite a few Vegan dog foods out there but my choice is Halo dry and wet, accompanied with fresh veggies and sometimes a spray of B12 that I use as well. Love your dog, feed them Vegan food.
Please do some research before stating dogs can’t survive on Vegan food.
People also used to think humans need to eat animals to survive , remember ?
Go Vegan. Go Kind 💚
From comments by Governor Jerry Brown to reports from the U.S. Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee, there’s widespread agreement that everyone needs to eat more plants.
Where there’s less consensus, however, is how to effect change. While many vegans believe Meatless Mondays and other cutting-back-consumption campaigns don’t push enough of a paradigm-shift, others argue that these are crucial first steps towards a more compassionate world.
Given that around 93 percent of people still eat meat, it’s difficult to imagine that everyone will cease doing so anytime soon. A world that eats far less meat, however, is already on the way. Meat consumption has been steadily declining in the U.S.—by 10% per capita since 2007, in fact.
In that year, for example, the U.S. raised and killed 9.5 billion land animals for food. As of 2014, that number plummeted by a whopping 400 million (to 9.1 billion — click here to view the statistics), says Paul Shapiro, Vice President, Farm Animal Protection for The Humane Society of the United States. “What that means is that compared to 2007, last year almost half a billion fewer animals were subjected to the torment of factory farming and industrial slaughter plants–and that’s despite the increase in the U.S. population,” Shapiro explains. “That’s more animals than are experimented on, hunted, used in circuses, puppy mills, and end up in animal shelters each year in the U.S.—all combined.”
Recent years have seen massive leaps in veg-friendly campaigns, realistic meat and dairy replacements hitting the market, and a rising awareness of the health benefits of cutting back on animal products.
The HSUS Farm Animal Protection division has an arm that focuses entirely on meat reduction campaigns in institutional environments. Started by Kristie Middleton, it’s been going strong since 2011, and is rapidly expanding. In Los Angeles, for example, the team convinced the school district to switch to Meatless Mondays back in 2012. Today, that program alone is saving more than 700,000 meat-based meals from being served each week.

More animal activism today, headed out to Strathpine Mall to hopefully make people aware of deers pulling a ‘Fat Man’ in a red suit is not exactly fun. The deers looked really scared with so many people. I couldn’t believe the amount of abuse we copped, even prior to ‘Santa’ appearing, an Asian man with his baby tried to squeeze in through the crowd trying to make way for the incoming sleigh, a Caucasian man then proceeded to say ‘Can’t you see that there are people here? If you want to live in this country, you need to speak the language!’ As he looked at him in disgust. I couldn’t believe the amount of abuse as well as ‘shoving’ and being grabbed by the scruff by security! DXE at Chermside was much more successful. #DxE#veganism#animalliberation#santapullyourownfuckingsleigh#animalactivism
No, I’m not pregnant, I just have a food baby.
I ate too much and that’s ok.
I didn’t eat any animals.
I ate all raw, except for the Chao cheese, my favourite from @fieldroast
I feel satiated, healthy and happy.
I feel at peace and I can sleep well knowing I didn’t pay for and eat violence.
If it’s not Vegan, it’s violence.
Veganism is the fastest growing social justice movement in history.
People are waking up.
What are YOU waiting for? We are trying to HELP YOU!
Wake up. Go Vegan 🌱
"activists are people too" or when it's freezing and you're kindly given tea at a demo. hot tea is life.
picture 3 is a must-see. meet your fur. how can someone even see that as normal? 🔝Important. It's been about 5 months since I first met #directactioneverywherekyiv -- and my life hasn't been the same ever since. Yesterday, I came from DC to Kiev, and the only place I truly wanted to be at was a DxE protest. I just want to take a moment to thank @tamara_ryzhenko and @olamj so much for introducing me to real, sincere activism. To people who have only animals' best interests in their hearts. To those uncorrupted by various political/business intrigues and scandals. To the purpose that drives me and makes me feel alive every day. I just want to thank you for all your hard work and, well, simply awesomeness 🐾🖤 Проще говоря, я вас люблю и до чёртиков рада, что у нас теперь есть DxE.
Victory comes to those that NEVER GIVE UP. KEEP GOING YOU GUYS! 🙌👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 @veganstreet - Over the last few years, all animal testing facilities in the US have quietly stopped their heinous tests on chimpanzees. Now the lab chimps are moving to sanctuaries where they’ll live out their lives in comfort (chimps live to an average of 50-60 years). Here’s an uplifting story in The New York Times about the transition: bit.ly/veganst-chimps
A large part of the of the reason those chimpanzees have been freed is years of tireless work by animal advocates to expose these injustices to the world. These brave advocates aren’t slowing down though, and they won’t stop (and neither will we) until all animal exploitation is a thing of the past.
#Trump !!!! You fucking piece of shit. It’s ON!!!!!! Everyone repost this elephant and tag #BeKindToElephants ... every time you do donations are made to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust @dswt to save these animals from fucking MONSTERS like this wack ass that calls himself a president that lifted the ban on trophy hunting bodies shipped back to the United States so his small dick baby monster Trump Jr can kill as he pleases.
Via @theandyvegan 🤐 The people destroying the world are the very same people asking for a better one.... I’m just over people talking about peace and love, as they defend so strongly their positions on why animals are meant to be tortured for food, fashion, experiments and entertainment. No more lip service. Drop the excuses! .
✌️“Peace begins on our dinner plates with a vegan meal” ~ @therealgaryyourofsky .
I became fully VEGAN after participating in a single issue campaign .
Animal injustice is a whole made out of many issues: dairy, fish, meat, egg, fashion, zoos, circuses, animal testing, hunting , etc etc etc.
Although I am part of anonymous for the voiceless where we try to bring awareness in regards to most of these injustices, I am also part of single-issue campaigns.
I’ve seen people being educated about the fact that they wear the remains of dead animals. I’ve seen them cry and understand that what they are being part of is cruel and unnecessary.
We’ve marched to close down slaughterhouses.
We’ve boycotted cosmetic companies that test on animals.
Many issues, many things we can do, as activists.
I’ve confronted Jane does, Vegan soldiers and Franciones in regards to their abolitionist approach that bash single issue campaigns every chance they get. Most of my messages were ignored or deleted.
I’ve also asked them what kind of activism they do, and besides talking the Big talk on social media, I’ve never gotten an answer, except “I don’t need to prove that I do activism to you.” No pictures of them doing any sort of activism.
MOST of us ARE abolitionist vegans.
If there are some out there promoting meatless Mondays, that’s another issue but to generalize and put everyone in the same pot pisses me off. “The logic is, instead of being part of a single-issue campaign, you should be doing something else, like promoting veganism as a whole.” Yes, we do that, too!
So the anti single-issue campaign message is: I’m supposed to stay at home and bash activists that boycott Canada Goose, on social media?
Talking the big talk behind my screen instead of being out there.. Animals need us.
We are their voice, we are the ones that bring light on the horrors that happens to them before they become objects.
They are being used and exploited in so many ways, it’s countless.
Should we really be bashing activists that are actually doing something?
I don’t think so.
I’m very proud of every single activist I know and all the ones out there putting themselves at risk, in the name of justice, kindness, liberation and love.
THANK YOU 🙏🏼

Meat-free by 2025?
I can’t stop smiling :)
I hope this reaches someone out there that needs a little reminder of how important you are.
You are here for a reason.
If you feel lonely, unloved, misunderstood or insignificant, look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself you love yourself!
You are ENOUGH.
Anybody else loving and appreciating you is just a bonus.
But you need to love yourself, first.
Don’t feel vain for feeling that you love yourself. It’s not an ego thing.
It’s a soul thing.
It’s a happy thing.
I can’t stop smiling!! I forgot for a few moments I loved myself and it sucked!
But now I’m back and it’s wonderful.
We try to help others and make it better for them but we forget ourselves in the process and then we have these moments, but it’s up to us to get back on track.
How can we help bring awareness and help others that can’t speak for themselves while we don’t take care of ourselves?
I am totally guilty of this, and I forgot about myself so tonight, I made a point to remind myself I MATTER TOO.
We can’t burn out.
The ones without a voice NEED US.
I need US.
I need ME.
Strong, annoying, passionate.
I FUCKING LOVE MYSELF
🛑CRUELTY AT ZONNEVELD DAIRY!!
Member's of #dxe lead a year long investigation into Zonneveld dairy in Layton, Ca. Zonneveld dairy is a major supplier for Land o Lakes dairy products. During DxE's investigation they found Zonneveld and land o lakes to be in violation of their own policies. This investigation uncovered extreme cases of neglect and animal cruelty. One of the calfs that was found on Zonneveld's farm was subject to severe neglect and was on the verge of death. DxE had no other choice but to remove the calf and get her to immediate veterinary care. I'm happy to say the little calf whom they named Roslynn is alive and thriving And will now have the opportunity to live a life of love and compassion. However DxE thought it only just that Roselynn be reunited with her mother. So DxE gathered a group of over 60 activist and showed up at Zonneveld on November 14, urging the farm to release Roselynn's mother. I was fortunate enough to be one of those 60 activists taking a stand against what I can only describe as one of the cruelest industries I have ever come across. Three of DxE's female activists were able to make it onto the farm property During our protest and was able to go live on FB showing the true reality of the dairy industry and the conditions these animals are forced to live in. (link to that live feed in my bio 🎥 please take the time to watch) what I witnessed and experienced at zonneveld was nothing short of heartbreaking. I would urge anyone out there reading this that uses dairy products, to educate themselves fully on what they are supporting. This industry exploits many. On the heels of its explosive Larson Dairy undercover investigation, Animal Recovery Mission (ARM) released its second shocking exposé in seven days.-
While both dairy farms are located within a mile of each other in Okeechobee, Florida, unlike Larson Dairy which is a large operation, the undercover investigation released today took place at a small family-owned and operated dairy farm named Burnham Dairy.-
“ARM did the large farm investigation first because people always respond; ‘well, I get my dairy from a small local family-owned farm’ but little do they know that the abuse is actually worse than what takes place at the larger operations,” ARM’s founder Richard “Kudo” Couto explained to WAN last night. “This case is different because it focuses on the babies. It’s pretty extreme.” -
“The guys that go in to do ARM’s investigations are not the normal investigators or animal activists,” explained Kudo. “Our team is made up of members who are ex-military and law enforcement, as well as special forces with specialized training for this type of work.”-
They mean business and their business is working in-depth undercover investigations with the goal of exposing and ultimately ending, the many horrors of factory farming. 👊

Look at what some of us put ourselves through to look good - starving, purging, jogging till we drop, breast implants when we're young, and all sorts of lifts when we're old. Is it therefore surprising that not too much attention is paid to the animals who suffer so we can look good? Yes. A lot of people would say you are free to hurt yourself to your heart's content, but don't hurt anybody else.
Well it is no secret that wearing fur hurts somebody else, most people probably don't know how much. And the pain associated with other animal fabrics is even a better- kept secret.
Animals are not clothing, food, products, or commodities. They value their own lives just as you do yours. Please boycott any products that exploit the animals!
Remember, to you it is a fashion statement, to them it is their very lives!
