But I absolutely love how my Pincha came along after last month's #DontCallMeBaby challenge. What a month of focused dedicated practice can do. is amazing. These challenges are far more than pretty pictures, they really enrich my practice and offer so much knowledge about skillful approaching poses that aren't taught in most public classes. How to: 
Come into plank. Transfer weight onto right hand and outer edge of right foot, reaching left arm toward the sky for side plank. - If side plank feels good, reach right big toe to the ground, bend left knee, and place left foot on inside of left thigh. Take hold of left big toe with two first fingers and breathe here for 3 deep breaths. (Feel free to come out of the pose and rest in child’s pose at anytime; remember to listen to your body!)
- Gently reach heel toward the sky, lengthening leg as much as it feels comfortable. Breathe here for 5 deep breaths, then release gently back into plank. You did it!! Now try it on the other side.

OR bottom knee off the floor; palm flat to the floor

How to: 
From Five Pointed Star,  turn the right toes to the right wall and bend the right knee directly over the right ankle.
- Turn the hips and the shoulders towards the front and reach out through the finger tips, reaching towards the side walls. Turn and look at the right middle finger.
- Press into the feet, keeping the legs strong. Sink the hips down towards the floor, and reach the crown of the head up to lengthen the spine. Relax the shoulders down and back, pressing the chest forward.
-  To release: straighten the legs and turn the feet forward coming back into 5 pointed star.

How to: 
From Uttanasana (Standing Forward Bend), bend your knees and, with an inhale, step your left foot back toward the back edge of your mat, with the ball of the foot on the floor. Step back far enough so that your right knee can form a right angle.
- Lay your torso on your front thigh and lengthen it forward. To soften your right groin, imagine that the thigh is sinking toward the floor under your torso's weight. Look forward. Simultaneously, firm the left thigh and push it up toward the ceiling, holding the left knee straight. Stretch your left heel toward the floor.

To hold this pose longer, wedge a block between the floor and the back leg.

I cried during half of the practice. And sometimes is difficult to see if you are just feeding your 💩 or you are leting go. Are you giving up or are you being kind with yourself?
That's the real work for me. And thats why I appreciate dearly teachers that make me grow and don't let me feel self pitty.

I was sitting in bed not feeling quite ready for sleeping and thinking about doing some inversions when I remembered today's #LeagueofExtraordinaryYogis pose! It is something I've never tried before, a #babybakasana, or #babycrow, presented by @kateswarm of @leagueheadquarters and called #BayBee🐝Bakasana. Making a pose "baby" doesn't necessarily make it easier, and I wasn't sure I would be able to do this (and with arms crossed) but I could! Yay! 😁 I found it easier to get my knee to stay on my arm in the baby version. It's the left side that gives me so much trouble, not sure why. 🤔

How to: From Chaturanga, draw your body forward by pressing through your palms and rolling over your toes. Align your shoulders directly over your wrists and straighten your arms. - Press down firmly through the tops of your feet. Strongly engage your leg muscles to keep your thighs lifted off the floor.
- Keep your elbows pressed alongside your body. Drop your shoulders away from your ears and lift your chest toward the ceiling.
- Draw your shoulders back and your heart forward, but do not crunch your neck. If your neck is flexible, tilt your head to gaze toward the sky. Otherwise, keep your head neutral and your gaze directly forward.
- Your thighs should be firm and turned slightly inward. Your arms should also be firm, slightly turned so that each elbow crease faces forward.
- Only straighten your arms as much as your body allows. Deepen the stretch as your practice advances, but avoid straining to achieve a deeper backbend.
- Actively press your shoulder blades into your upper back. Keep your elbows hugged in to your sides. Broaden across your collarbones and lift your heart. Glide the tops of your shoulders away from your ears. Distribute the length of the backbend evenly through your entire spine.
- Hold the pose for up to 30 seconds. To release, exhale as you slowly lower your torso and forehead to the mat. Turn your head to the right, resting your left ear on the mat. Relax your arms alongside your body.
