Black-as-the-night black garlic oil ramen from the Ramen Samurai Ryu's stall @bangbangoriental. The blackened garlic oil tastes roasty-toasty and rich, and not at all sharp like raw garlic. Plus plenty of veggies and tender chicken. I'd order this again. 🌟
I‘m SOUPER excited to share this Roasted Kabocha Squash Soup recipe + protein. And the protein comes from the bone broth, however, adding collagen is never a bad idea! 🤷🏼♀️

1 small roasted squash with skin, cubed & deseeded
2 roasted carrots
2 roasted parsnips
2 T minced ginger
Dash of turmeric
6 T ghee, I used @fourthandheart white truffle ghee
1 cup raw milk or almond milk
1/2 cup bone broth or veggie broth 💥

Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender & blend til smooth
Last night I experienced what's likely the most unique menu that most have seen at a kosher restaurant outside of Israel. @AlenbiKitchen is currently under a soft opening – officially opening to the public on Sunday – and I was invited by the restaurant to try their Modern Israeli dishes prepared by @chef_elior_balbul.
The pics of this post are only showcasing the appetizers (will share other dishes in a future post). 1️⃣ Jerusalem Bagel — deliciously hot sesame bread served with crushed tomato, tahini, harissa, and za'atar, with olives. The dips were outstanding.
2️⃣ Cauliflower Steak — a huge chunk of cauliflower charred in their wood oven, topped with Arabic salad & tahini. Never would've expected this to be awesome, but it was, and it was huge.
3️⃣ Sashimi Yam Tichon — beautiful dish with striped bass, eggplant carpaccio, artichoke confit, Dolan tahini, preserved lemon cream, roasted pistachio, seared shallot, sunchoke chip and thyme. This is a very busy dish and every bite tasted differently, some I liked better than others, but it was definitely an experience.
4️⃣ Falafel Tartar — I didn't order this but they wanted me to try it and I'm glad I did. This was a complete mind warp. There are no Falafel balls in the dish, but rather, it's a modern recreation using the same ingredients in different ways: tahini, sumac onion, crispy chickpea, fava beans, and amba coulis. I don't typically like falafel, but I absolutely loved this dish.
More commentary to come on Alenbi, but it's safe to say that they've definitely carved out a niche for themselves.

The @picnictoorakroad Sumac chicken and chorizo flat bread with chicken, chorizo, red peppers, spanish onions, roma tomato, gherkins, swiss cheese, onion rings served with hand cut chips. This was such a delicious combo of flavours and I loved the cute picnic tablecloth it was served on!

Yay! for Fall and all the soups. I love that they are simple, yet nourishing and filling. 🥘 This recipe is my paleo version of a Pasta y Fagioli (Olive Garden knock-off) except that it doesn’t have pasta or fagioli (beans). Ha Ha! 😆 Let’s call this our Italian soup w/ potato. It’s fabulous!
Here’s the RECIPE~~ .
1 lb @pedersonsfarms Italian Ground Sausage or Italian Ground Turkey
2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2 cups onion, diced
4-5 garlic cloves, minced
3 celery ribs, chopped
2 medium carrots, chopped
5-6 cups vegetable broth
4 cups marinara sauce, (I use Victoria brand or @raoshomemade)
2-3 cups gold potatoes, chopped in small bite size pieces
2 tsp (or more) dried basil
1 tsp (or more) dried oregano
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
1 tsp salt, or more to taste
1 tsp pepper
First, ground the sausage together with onions, garlic & olive oil in a large frying pan over medium/high heat, adding some salt & pepper, and cooking until sausage is mostly cooked through and onions are translucent. Pour this mixture into your crockpot, then add all the rest of the ingredients, stirring all together, and simmer on high for 3-4 hrs or until potatoes and carrots are tender. Add salt to taste. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese, or to keep it #paleo and #whole30 use nutritional yeast flakes. That’s it! It’s so simple. Serve and Enjoy!!

Such a looooonnnnngggg day but we've almost made it to FRIYAY!!!🎉I made these delicious gluten-free, boneless buffalo chicken tenders with blue cheese and sautéed kale and brussels🌿😋Does anyone else find it nearly impossible to please everyone in your family for dinner? We've got one who doesn't like anything spicy and won't eat zoodles(🤣), one who only eats carbs (aka pizza, pasta and bread) and very little protein. Then one who would prefer only meat and hates kale.
