MIND THE POOR QUALITY PHOTO!
Lion's were at home Wednesday against Folkestone Saints.
Which Lion's started strong in first Q, causing Saints to turn over the ball and hit on the fast break.
Q2 was still fluent from Lions however the Saints had brought up their game and challenged the lions each transition.
Same as Q3 both team played well, however Folkestone gradually spotted the gaps and floors in the Lions defence, which unfortunately led to the Saint in taking a marginal team.
Q4 was all Saint. Unfortunately for the Lions they couldn't get there heads back into the game and was restricted to scoring only 8 points that's quarter!
It's not what the lions was hoping for, however the development and strength of the team was shown in the early stages of the game which makes 2018 exciting! 🦁🏀 #thanetlions#thanetlionsbasketball#eastkentbasketball#eastkent#thanet#basketball#basketballaddict#basketballlife#baller#ballislife#dedication#dedicated#motivation#team#lion#lions#lionsden

I wondered if anyone would be able to help with my Blessing Bag initiative? We are looking for individuals and businesses to sponsor Blessing bags to support our local chemo centre.
After the success of last year and having recently celebrated 5 years clear myself I want to really make an impact and go bigger and better. Last year everyone at the Canterbury Chemo Unit over the xmas period received a blessing bag (120 bags) form us. This year I hope to support the Viking Day Unit at Margate and if we exceed our goals then I hope we can support both centres.
From personal experience I know that going through chemo on the run up to Christmas is pretty depressing, while everyone else is running around getting excited about all things tinsel, the realities of of going through chemo are very real to too many! These bags contain things that will be of comfort/help to somebody having treatment.
Here's where you come in - I am looking for people & businesses to sponsor a bag for £25 or half a bag.
Please comment below or pm me to sponsor a bag and be a blessing to someone this Christmas!
Blessing Bag Sponsor Form
So why all these things in the bag
FLUFFY SOCKS - For Comfort and keeping warm
WARM HAT - because losing your hair at Christmas is a reality and it's chuffing cold
MINTS - One if the hardest bits for me was the taste that hits the back of your throat as soon as the infusion starts and the smell
TISSUES - your nose will run all day, and eyes watering without warning
GINGERNUT BISCUITS - Ginger is known to help nausea and with chemo you are pretty sick, these just about covered my appetite without throwing it straight back up.
NOURISH - Your skin and nails take a bit of a beating with Chemo so a great quality hand cream is a real comfort.
LIP BALM - your lips flake, dry and become quite sore
CHAMOMILE TEA - I am as strong as they come but chemo nearly broke me and I found the treatment quite stressful, anything calming helped.
COLOURING PAD & PENS - The reality is you spend horrendous amounts of time there, distracting yourself from reality
Thank you for your continued support in making a difference
