don't believe everything you see on instagram. why? because while i ate this for lunch, i also had a bagel with cream cheese. i failed you guys by not documenting that! i scarfed it down before making my salad, when the cream cheese was melting and delish, and i didn't take the time to take a picture. why does this matter?

because the moral of the story is that you should take all of this with a grain of salt. lest we forget, instagram is a highlight reel. find your own pattern of eating that works well for you, don't eat the way someone else does just because they post pretty pictures on insta or have fancy credentials or a ton of followers. sure, inspiration is fabulous, but make sure you aren't trying to do exactly what other people are doing because you might not be getting the big picture. ask yourself what do you feel like eating? what would help you to feel good? maybe today it's a crunchy salad or an energizing bagel? or both!

{makes 8 servings} โ €
INGREDIENTS๐Ÿ‘‡โ €
1 cup frozen raspberriesโ €
1 tablespoon rice syrup or maple syrup or agave syrupโ €
1 cup + 3/4 cup (150g + 100g) vegan baking chocolate โ €

METHOD๐Ÿ‘‡โ €
Heat the frozen raspberries in a small pot on medium-high heat until soft, mash the raspberries until there are no large chunks anymore & add the rice syrup. Give it a mix and set aside to cool.โ €
In a double boiler, melt 1 cup of the chocolate. Meanwhile place 8 muffin liners in a muffin pan.โ €
Place about 1 1/2 teaspoon of melted chocolate in the muffin liners and tilt them, so the chocolate spreads to the sides. Repeat for all the muffin liners and place it into the fridge for a few minutes (until the chocolate hardens).โ €
Melt 3/4 cup of vegan chocolate in the double boiler. Meanwhile add about a teaspoon of the raspberry filling into the chocolate coated muffin liners (place it in the middle). Once melted, pour it over the raspberry filling. Tilt it a bit so the top is covered with the chocolate completely. Let it harden in the fridge for about 5 minutes.โ €

The salads were huge and the staff were more than happy to accomodate our coeliac and no garlic requests (one salad was fructose free - not the one pictured..). Now this is not all I ate ๐Ÿ™„, but they were in there at some point. They were not the majority, but the minority. I did eat vegetables and clean, real foods. Including those berriesโ˜๏ธ

I say this only to point out that when it comes to fat loss, diet is king. But you already knew that. So let me take it a step further and say that itโ€™s about nailing your diet MOST of the time. Breakfast after my 40min morning walk today. I went to put peaches in it but I canโ€™t have that because Iโ€™m on a #fodmap eating guide. Day 3: What can you do to take better care of yourself?

hmmmโ€ฆ I live quite the healthy life EXCEPT I eat WAY too many nachos. I pretty much each nachos 4-5x a week ๐Ÿง€. I think replacing nachos for a healthier lunch would really make a difference. But to be fair, I've cut back on the nacho eating lol. Itโ€™s just super convenient to whip up nachos and they're so good. Iโ€™ve also been working on cutting out A LOT of sugar from my diet. I have the worlds worst sweet tooth and for the past 3 months, Iโ€™ve been really good at minimizing sugar, adding less sugar to recipes, and changing up my snacking options. 
I usually have a delicious dinner every night because I LOVE home cooked meals, and I love that I know what Iโ€™m cooking, eating, and supporting.

I try not to critique this too much, as I have a well-balanced diet but I do know it would be better for my body and my skin to start eating a healthier lunch each day.

So I had a crappy day today ๐Ÿ˜ฉ Got up super early for work, had to jump of the bus before my stop since my dog had some sort of breakdown which lead to me being late, yay! And instead of going home after work I had to take him to the vet โค๏ธ at home with a drugged dog (painkillers) and no dinner and found some semi fresh eggplant in the fridge. Since I always have eggs at home I made an omelette โœŒ๐Ÿฝ so this is my eggplant, turkey, tomatoes and chives omelette. Topped with basil, chili and parmesan cheese. ๐Ÿค— and my dog is snoring away, hopefully feeling better tomorrow!

today's lunch : scrambled eggs with bell peppers, cheese and ham!
.
ingredients:
- 3 large eggs
- 1/3 cup lactose free milk
- 1/2 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 slices ham, chopped
- 2 tbsp chopped chives
- 1/4 cup cheddar cheese, grated
- salt
- black pepper
- 1 tbsp butter
directions:
- in a medium bowl, mix eggs, milk, bell peppers, ham, chives, salt and black pepper.
- heat a non stick pan on medium-low heat. add the butter and let it melt.
- pour the eggs in the pan and the grated cheese.
- let the eggs cook for a bit.
- with a spatula or a wooden spoon, gently stir the eggs until you get the desired texture.
- enjoy!!

don't believe everything you see on instagram. why? because while i ate this for lunch, i also had a bagel with cream cheese. i failed you guys by not documenting that! i scarfed it down before making my salad, when the cream cheese was melting and delish, and i didn't take the time to take a picture. why does this matter?

because the moral of the story is that you should take all of this with a grain of salt. lest we forget, instagram is a highlight reel. find your own pattern of eating that works well for you, don't eat the way someone else does just because they post pretty pictures on insta or have fancy credentials or a ton of followers. sure, inspiration is fabulous, but make sure you aren't trying to do exactly what other people are doing because you might not be getting the big picture. ask yourself what do you feel like eating? what would help you to feel good? maybe today it's a crunchy salad or an energizing bagel? or both!
