Zca Junior Wesley Thomas has been suspended indefinitely for creating the fake news page @zcanews . “We take humor very seriously here. Nobody, and I mean nobody makes fun of our dress code. ” Mr Pump told reporters. “Our dress code was hand written by God to the people along with the 10 Commandments and the 2nd Amendment.” Wesley has not been seen since the suspension, but many students claim they can still hear his car noises in the hallway.
To say or not to say...That is the question.
I have been thinking recently to what extent we are actually free to say what we think. Where are the boundaries/what are the limitations of free speech, expressing our thoughts and opinions? Especially at work.
Are we free to say out loud what we REALLY think, bearing in mind that someone might not necessarily agree with our opinions, that being in a group we are singled out when our opinion is different, and makes us to feel like an outsider? That they might not invite you for a drink after work as you are so opinionated that you are almost a party pooper.
I am not apologising for who I am.
I wrote in my previous post that putting a mask is the way of surviving in a hostile environment. But is it going to such extreme is the only way? Where is the REAL you and where is the FAKE you? Can you do both?
