Portions in America are CRAZY!!! It is totally out of control! .
When I go out to eat, I'm always amazed at how much food I'm given. But then I remember that I don't have to eat it all in one sitting!! I can always package it up! Leftovers are the best (it means I don't have to cook!) .
The chart below is a generic, quick way to remember what portions are supposed to look like. This can help when you're out and about or even when you're cooking at home! #tiptuesday#portioncontrol
Just wanted to share this and to let you know that I am currently taking on new private coaching clients. DM me if you're interested or have any questions. Link is in the bio for more info 😁🌈👻⚡️
Tonights dinner was Red Curry Chicken and I am so proud of the fact that I made it all from scratch...no jar paste! How amazing does lemongrass smell OMG! Anyway, there is no pic of it because it didn't look at all appealing, so much so infact that all 4 of us were incredibly suprised by how amazing it tasted (despite the fact that I had a little slow cooker mishap AND forgot to add in the spinach and top with lime and corriander...hmmm note to self: read the recipe all the way to the end), we thought we were going to end up with baked beans on toast instead LOL! So anyway this quote is perfect today 😁.
I found myself at a place where I hated the body I was living in. To be clear, I was happy, loved my life, but very uncomfortable with my body. I am not ashamed to say that. My clothes didn't fit, I felt tired all the time, and had too many aches and pains to count. I felt lost and unrecognizable when I looked in the mirror.
I know there are these posts out here saying "How to rock a bikini. Put it on. Rock it." I love that. I love everything about that and what it stands for. But some of us just don't feel that way. I was one of those people. And that's okay. I wanted to be that girl, but I just wasn't there yet.
But I knew I could be. The one who was confident enough to not care what everyone else thought. I just had to figure out how to find her. I knew she was in there somewhere.
So how did I change everything? How did I go from a place of defeat to a place of complete confidence and joy? How did I finally lose the weight and find myself again?
By taking a half an hour a day to focus on me. By following a simple nutrition plan, and the support of some amazing women who were working on becoming the best versions of themselves just like I was. And we shared in our triumphs and helped each other through the struggles. And these women still have my back. It's amazing what some accountability can do to keep you on track. Instead of being caddy and judging, here was a group of women who were full of positivity and encouragement. It was so freaking refreshing.
It took some courage to get going. That's always the hardest part. But once you do, it gets easier. And you get stronger. And the weight coming off is only the beginning.
My goal was to feel truly comfortable in my own skin. What a peaceful feeling it is to have reached that goal.
If you are ready to start your journey and find the real you again, comment below or send me a message. My next support group begins on Monday, August 8th. Let's get you working on your own transformation❤
🚫👀👈🏻DONT LOOK BACK- YOU ARE NOT GOING THAT WAY!!
You can't change yesterday, you can't predict tomorrow, all you can control is what you do right now! Worrying about the things you cannot control or change is wasted energy on your part. Focus yourself on the positive energy that you can put out today. .
Did you smile 😀 today? #positiveenergy#dontlookback
