Made bone broth soup with a whole chicken, so I cooked chicken pho for dinner tonight!!
It is very tasty with sliced onions, cilantro, basil and lime juice!! Homemade chicken bone broth is best❣️

on the menu: ground turkey & green beans w brown rice, spaghetti sauce with zucchini noodles, spicy chicken w broccoli & sweet potatoes, honey lemon chicken w asparagus & brown rice, steel cut oatmeal, denver egg cups, sausage balls, banana nut muffins, yogurt parfaits w homemade granola, and all the fruit/veggies/raw nuts for snacks.... #whew 😅 
only 2nd week back into meal prepping, but this week was so much faster and easier than last week... all this took about 5 hours and $100 ($25 per person)... absolutely worth it to have my entire week ready to go 👌🏼 #mealprepsunday

Hey glow-getters! Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend.I’m on a train to Pismo Beach so I thought I’d take a minute to talk about HYDRATION and how important it is for HEALTH.

Over 70% of your body is made of WATER and every FUNCTION in the body is dependent on water so properly hydrating is ESSENTIAL.

FACTS ON WATER AND HYDRATION:
-Water flushes TOXINS from the body
- Water helps MUSCLES and joints work better. -Drinking water and BRAIN function are integrally linked. Keeping hydrated can help with focus, memory, BRAIN FOG, headaches, sleep issues and depression.
-Water helps maintain a proper body WEIGHT.
-When you feel thirsty, your body is likely already insufficiently hydrated.
-Water helps fight FATIGUE and is a source of ENERGY for your body.
-Plenty of Water promotes healthy, GLOWING skin.

HOW TO DRINK MORE WATER:
1. Cut out the coffee, teas and soda and drink water instead
2. First thing in the morning drink at least 2 glasses of water with lemon.
3. Fill up your water bottle and bring it with you everywhere!
4. Drink a glass or two of water before meals.
5. Eat more fruit. Fruit is very hydrating and is made up of the perfect water filled with vitamins and electrolytes.

Drinking water can seem like a simple thing, but for me when I was suffering with #fibromyalgia when I  drank enough water I felt noticeably less muscle pain and fibro-fog. So it really does make a difference!

I loved the Purple Carrot pizza crust recipe that I received so I had to make it again.  The garbanzo bean flour pizza crust is healthy, tasty, and easy to make.  The pizza crust is first cooked on the stove, and then placed in the oven to brown the top.  Purple Carrot also introduced me to artichokes on the pizza which I love.  I roasted red bell pepper, onion, and artichokes ahead of time.  I added sliced tomatoes and a few jalapeno peppers and then of course my homemade vegan parmesan cheese. As a personal trainer and nutrition coach I use the analogy of wandering into a gym and winging it...maybe you do a few biceps curls, get bored, head to the treadmill for a few minutes, wander to a machine and then leave VS having a trainer or a program laid out for you ahead of time with specific goals in mind! Which one would get you better results? 🤔The same approach should be  applied to your nutrition...with healthy choices prepped ahead of time how much easier is it going to be to a)stick to your plan and b)hit those damn macros! •

I love plants, nutrition and health. I also love my family. But sometimes, I can’t be assed making dinner after a 10-14 hour day. Meals for me need to be simple, delicious, quick, nutritious, energising and satisfying. This morning I had a little extra time (10 minutes). So I prepped tonight’s roast veggies (pumpkin and sweet potatoe with rosemary and capsicum, tomatoe and brussel sprouts with shallots). So when I walk through the door, all I have to do is chuck these in the oven, steam the broccoli and corn, throw together a simple salad and grill the chops - like a boss! This will be dinner and tomorrow’s lunch for all of us. Cook once, eat twice! I believe eating healthy is simple, but we’ve over complicated it. We’ve gotta take it back to basics!! Eating well doesn’t require more time. It just requires you to be more efficient with your time! Nutrients rule - fist pump!
