SO.... we have to do Cardio just after leg day? cant I just sit here and look at her?!?! I hear from so many people that they hate doing cardio work and leg work. But usually we hate it because it is something we are not good at ... YET ... keyword = YET. But you need to do it to get STRONGER at it... right?!?! And the old me "before" -- > FOLLOWING a REGIMEN ... I would SKIP doing CARDIO, because it was not my strong suit, and still isn't.The old me would go to the gym for hours and hours and I would never see the results I am getting now because I was wasting a lot of time trying to figure out what to do and spend most my time on the Treadmill of BOREDOM! Because I thought cardio was running in place and had no clue about this other world of cardio and various movements. This plan has been guiding my CLIENTS with how to workout more effectively with less breaks and keeping the muscles under tension with timing!
SO when we follow a REGIMEN, it forces us to do the things we dont like to do to get the place we want to get to, and might not with no plan. But if you want to play Chatty Kathy at the gym all day, thats fine too. I like to talk to people too!
And I chose to do cardio because I kind of want to keep my heart healthy and my lungs pumping! This whole breathing and living thing is pretty BADASS!! So I will follow a plan because it will free up some time in my day for other activities, like karate in a garage and building bunkbeds!
But honestly... the saying goes FAIL to PLAN and you can PLAN TO FAIL. SO TRUE!
If this sounds like YOU... shoot me a message or drop a comment below and lets get in touch. Lest do this together!
A few weeks ago I had the honor of attending a friends promotion ceremony. He had achieved the status of sergeant after diligently working towards his goals for the past 3 years. In his speech he talked about being your own biggest fan, making sure you achieve your goals because in the end your leaders aren’t always there for you. That is definitely the sad reality. We have ourselves at the end of the day... or if we’re fortunate enough, maybe we have families to come home to. Maybe you feel like there’s no one looking out for you, or no one who has your back. —Those of you with kids have a lot of added responsibility. You can show your kids what it means to be a leader, what to do when you don’t have anyone but yourself. Teach them how to survive... because in this day and age sometimes that is a real challenge. Even more than that though, teach them how to truly LIVE. Once they have that grasped, nothing and no one will be able to stop them. Congratulations tanner.
