I miss this time in India. I used to spend every October and November in Mysore and it's been two years since i'm able to make it during that season. It's a special time of devotion, reflection and celebration. I miss the devotional aspect of life in India, I'm grateful to be here for fall however as it is such a special time when you can observe earth transitioning in color and shape (or at least it used to ). What I don't miss is the fireworks:) there is a tradition of doing firecracker explosions for 5 consecutive nights. Indians explode stuff everywhere as an exterior symbolism of breaking the dark with light. The explosion of the soul. Even though this is a beautiful metaphor it's less beautiful when you can't sleep because thin sare exploding all around you and your practice time is 4am lol.

According to Chinese Medicine our wellbeing and general health relate to the flow of chi in our body. Chi is energy, and the meridians are the energy channels where chi can either flow or (be) stagnate(d). We can absorb chi and cleanse the channels using a variety of practices and treatments. Yin yoga is designed to stimulate the meridians through long, passive strecthes. Stretches In this workshop you will be guided through a yin yoga session focusing on the main meridians related to the organs of the body. The workshop is for all levels and will be taught in English.
The room with be slightly heated to 25/30 degrees.
Lars Damkjær is based in Copenhagen where he is a recognized yin and mindfulness teacher. He is the founder (and facilitator) of (and facilitates) Yinmind teacher trainings with Yoga Vesterbro, is certified in the MBSR programme (mindfulness based stress reduction) and has studied yin yoga with Sarah Powers and Jo Phee. It doesn’t matter whether you have a “good” or a “bad” practice - what matters is that you do your practice. That you show up on your mat regardless of what's going on and do your best, whatever that is at that particular moment; without expecting an outcome or being attached to a certain asana or result. Yoga practice (not only asana) should become part of your daily life routine, just like brushing your teeth. 😬Something that prepares you for the rest of your day. If you skip it it'll make you feel less fresh and less focused.
Ah 🙄but how often haven't I thought standing at the front of my mat at 4am about to start my practice: "If only third series was as easy as brushing my teeth" 😜🙃😇
