I won’t lie. Todays workout was tough for me. A lot tougher than I expected. Not just physically but mentally. I wanted to quit half way through. “These workouts aren’t my thing. I’m better at cardio. Why am I doing this? These f’ing bands don’t fit my fat f’ing thighs.” 🤦🏻♀️ Thats when I recognized the voice inside my head. That’s the old KT creeping in. The one who is full of self doubt and negative self talk. Bashing herself. Comparing herself to others.
So....I paused. I breathed. I cried. I gave myself a minute, and then I told myself a few things that I LOVE about myself and things I’m grateful for of my body. ❤️
We shall focus today therefore tomorrow we shall not stand on our legs by K.S 🤣🤣 . If you ever done legs ✅ booty ✅ workout you will totally get me!

I set many goals for myself in 2018, but today I asked myself if I’m doing everything I can to achieve them. The answer was “no”. So tonight I decided to make myself go to the gym for the first time in over a month, needless to say I feel amazing! I just registered for marathon #4 ️⃣!!! See you in August @edmontonmarathon 🏃🏼♀️💙 Since I crossed the finish line of the Okanagan Marathon in October, my goal has been to qualify for the @bostonmarathon in 2018. My original plan was to take it easy until January so that I could start training for a spring marathon feeling refreshed and healthy. Unfortunately, I’m not where I wanted to be. Between finishing my Masters, the holidays, and a last minute trip to Australia, I’m not feeling fully recovered. I know my body and I know that if I start full on marathon training in the next couple weeks, there’s a very good chance that I will wind up injured. When I saw that there was a race in August in Edmonton (only three hours away from me), I knew it was meant to be. I’ll spend the next couple months focusing on rest and speed (oxymoron much!?), maybe try for a spring half marathon PR!?!? and then I’ll be feeling fully ready to chase Boston in August when I start my training in April! And it will be a new city to add to my list of places I’ve run! Ending today and starting 🐪day tomorrow on such a high! I love the thrill of signing up for a race ✨

Efficiency tip: wash your hair at night. Take your time to blow dry and curl it before bed. Wear in a loose, low pony tail while you sleep and the next morning you'll just need to run a brush through it and touch up a few of the curls around your face. It will take less than 5 minutes!

Breakfast: Greek yogurt and coffee
Lunch: broccoli cheddar soup and salad with grilled chicken
Dinner: homemade pizza and a few pieces of pb fudge
I haven't been tracking my food like I planned which is ok because I pretty much know portion sizes and can guesstimate the calories, but I also haven't been exercising as much as I want to. I've just been feeling lazy...ugh. I need to get out of this rut and JUST DO IT!!! I want to see more results. Therefore, tomorrow is a new day and tomorrow I WILL workout! 💕
So I steeped a tea (I’m a @davidstea fanatic). I let it get cold cause I went to the gym for some late night cardio. 🏃🏽♀️
I came back and instead of putting the tea down the drain, I decided to turn the steeped tea (and a bit of Almond Milk) into a lean protein shake!!! Yummmmm, added some extra flavour without the added calories 😬 I’m so excited to try more flavours!
