Hi Everybody, my name is Giovanni Capriotti and I’m a photographic essayist and editorial photographer/videographer pursuing long-form visual narratives with a focus on socio-cultural issues. This week I'm taking over the World Press Photo Foundation Instagram feed and I'll be sharing some of my work with you.
Last June I was assigned by Yamaha Music Japan to shoot a story about Hiromi Ueara and Edmar Castaneda's jazz duo recording a live album during their show at the 2017 Montreal Jazz Festival. I spent the entire day, from early morning to late night, with those two virtuosos". The result is a couple of booklets, color and black and white, and the cover of their new album "Live In Montreal". This is a picture of Hiromi Ueara during the last piece the duo performed at the Monument-National Theatre on June 30, 2017.

Hiromi's Sonicbloom Live in Concert. The concert was recorded at Tokyo's International Forum Hall, December 2007. One of the major forces in jazz and this video shows why. Its a great concert. Highly recommended! Hiromi Uehara (piano), Tony Grey (bass), Martin Valihora (drums), David Fiuczynski (guitar) #Hiromi @tonygreybass @martinvalihora @davidfiuczynski #Jazz
